I’ve watched some of the other adaptations (the Keira Knightly one was ok), but the above version was so perfectly cast that others come up wanting.

This is the only adaptation of P and P we will ever need, because it was perfect. See also Anne of Green Gables.

This is fucking nonsense. “Respect” can be defined incredibly broadly, and yes, Conway is deserving of a certain baseline level of respect because she is a human being. And that’s entirely different from being kind to her or holding her in high esteem or anything like that. Nobody—nobody—deserves to be treated as

Yea that’s a face of meth if I ever saw one.

Its easy to lose track of a kid when you are busy concentrating on your career as a methamphetamine addict.

Indeed. Mateen had been filling his head with Awlaki videos urging attacks in America, and he specifically cited US airstrikes in Syria and Iraq, American “collaboration” with Russia in Syria, and the then-recent death (via a US strike) of Abu Waheeb (a Daesh leader who was sickeningly brutal even by their standards)

When you guys were called out for not reporting this in a timely manner, due to your preoccupation with defending the Mariah Carey, you claimed you needed more time to properly give this matter attention (which is inconsistent with your previous coverage of other mass shootings).

and targeting rich foreigners doesn’t make it a terrorist attack how?

“If it truly was...an act of terror”...okay hold up. Regardless of who did it, this is terrorism. Randomly firing into a crowd at a night club is terrorism. It’s a soft target designed for maximum fear and media attention. That it’s popular with foreigners only underscores that (more media attention).

There is definitely a school of thought that says the Turkish government had already vilified people who would celebrate Christmas and/or New Year’s holidays, and ignored previous attacks throughout the week.

Anyone who shoots his way into a dance club, murders dozens of people and causes terror among the victims is indeed a terrorist regardless of any political meaning.

Yeah, I’m kind of alarmed by the way this article is written and I’m honestly confused about the point being made. If he was in a Santa suit and he was Christian, he could still be a terrorist. I don’t...get it.

Some people are likely going to argue that the shooter was gay and driven to kill due to his closeted homosexuality, rather than his religion or political ideology. Others will argue that the issue was the shooter’s maleness, the size of his penis, or his hatred of minorities.

I don’t get it either. Almost every headline I’ve seen about this has put terrorist attack in quotes. It’s almost as if the theory that it actually was terrorism is being dismissed out of hand.

The writers here are often slow to recognize these kind of attacks as terrorism. They probably think it is more likely a stunt for the Turkish opening of Bad Santa 2 rather than Islamic terror.

Why so skeptical?

Why does the fact he may have been wearing a Santa Claus outfit imply it’s not terrorism? I’m confused.

Ick.
