In 1939, Gone with the Wind was sneak-previewed to an audience who didn't know what they were going to see. The forthcoming movie was hugely anticipated, of course, and when the title scrolled across the screen, the roof just came off that theater. I would love to travel back in time and be in that audience, to feel

I'm really careful about avoiding spoilers for shows I've recorded and not watched yet, but things sneak into my feed. I'd appreciate it if the AV Club wouldn't use headlines like "Homeland Kills Beloved Character." Astrid may have been "beloved" to you, but seriously, I spent the whole first part of the show scared

Castle cat, of course! The reason: Nathan Fillion, of course!

Wringer.

I can't focus on plot anymore because I'm mesmerized by Alicia's Bad Wig of the Week.

Mia wasn't designed to be subservient. She was designed to be loving.

I can't believe you didn't talk to him about Cairo Time. Such a beautiful film and he was wonderful in it.

I would add the Eureka Christmas episode where they all turn into cartoons. It's worth watching even if you don't know the show well (or at all), and even more clever if you do.

Clone Dance Party seems to be on the wrong list. Move it over to the year's best, please.

I was VERY afraid that Saul was going to shoot himself, because I knew there was a story about Mandy Patinkin on 60 Minutes last night, which could have been scheduled to run on the same night as his last appearance on Homeland. (CBS and Showtime are related.) Yikes!

Shonda ripped off ER plots and characters left and right for Grey's Anatomy — is she now going to plunder The Good Wife? I like this show so far, but hope it keeps its fingers out of other shows' pies.

Nigel said "Olivia Papadam." It's still lame, but it makes sense for the Bollywood/disco reference, sort of.

Great job on your first recap!

Orphan Black: "Governed As If by Chance"

How about applying what might be called the Camryn Manheim test? Is there a fat woman in the film who talks about something other than food or her weight?

Nick and Nora Charles!

"And the honest guest will say, 'I want to know what it’s worth.' That’s—99.9 percent, that’s what they say." This is the main reason why I prefer the original UK version of the show. It's all about the stories. When something is appraised for a lot of money, often the owner will be embarrassed or appalled. It's

The BAFTAs are the model for a good awards show. Classy, witty, and LOADS of good-sized clips. The Academy should take note.

I have it set now to record on my DVR, but I was hoping to be able to go back and hear their commentary on events that are over if they are archived somewhere. I knew that Johnny Weir was doing this, and kept wondering why I never heard him during primetime — somehow I missed the memo about the live broadcasts!

Thank you, I did Google (and YouTube and other things) and couldn't find videos of the actual commentaries, although lots of coverage and critiques of the commentaries. If anyone has a direct link, I would appreciate it.
