I think you need to think about your guest list first. Do you have super-close friends and family who will really want to be there, but who will need to travel to get there? Then Friday night might not be great. But if your priority guests are all within driving distance, then Friday would work fine!

We make a list, and my husband still wants to compare prices of everything on sale that we sometimes eat. I don't mind comparison shopping for staples on a weekend afternoon, but he'll do it when we're shopping for dinner, and I just want to ear. Now I just let him do the shopping unless he's out-of-town.

When my husband and I started dating, we weighed about the same. I've lost weight since then, but he's still in the 135-145 range. I've always been attracted to skinny nerdy men, and I'm not alone in that.

I rarely wear makeup not because I'm too lazy to apply it, but because I hate removing it at night. I've only gone to sleep without removing makeup maybe five times in my life? (I'm 27). I have really good genetics, though, so I don't have an uneven skin tone or acne that women feel more comfortable covering up.

I was born to two parents who both claim to have maybe had 100 pimples each in their entire lives. I had so few zits in high school that I kept count. I've only had one in my life that was larger than a small freckle. My great skin is genetics and wearing a hat during the summer.

The ONLY place where slave shackles should be on display is in a MUSEUM. Next to a bunch of text about the atrocity of slavery.

My husband worked part-time as a janitor in high school. When I moved into my first and then second apartment in the last few years, he cleaned stuff I didn't know needed to be cleaned, stuff that definitely hadn't been cleaned in awhile. When I worked two jobs last year, he would surprise me by cleaning my whole

My twin brother and I learned how to do everything. We started with chores at about age 5, easy things like putting away the clean silverware from the dishwasher and matching & folding socks. Except on special occasions, we fixed our own breakfasts every morning (cereal, toast, Pop-tarts, etc.). A few things slipped

As a former au pair for a wealthy family, I spent a few months giving weekly laundry lessons to the kids, aged 6, 10, and 13. REALLY basic lessons, starting with, "When you put your dirty clothes in the hamper, you need to empty your pockets first. The socks and underwear should not still be stuck in your jeans. Zip

I went to a private liberal arts university, and I actually debated whether or not I should start my own part-time business of doing laundry. I was SHOCKED at the number of girls on my hall (and boys on our "brother" hall) who had never done laundry before. I had always assumed the whole "take laundry home" stereotype

Just one problem. Those "subsidies" are not subsidies. They are tax breaks. Of the $4 billion in alleged subsidies to Big Oil, $1.7 billion derives from a domestic manufacturing tax deduction intended to keep factories in the U.S. It is available to every company, not just oil companies. Another $850 million comes

Also the one where they went to Hawaii. And the one where they were all snowed in.

Mismatched earrings are my favorite. My mom and I both have a few pairs.

And then her dog had puppies, so when Kristy's dog Louie died, the the Thomas-Brewer family got one of the puppies. David Michael named the puppy Shannon instead of saying "thank you."

Yalith was the good daughter who was totally kickass.

IT'S THE BEST BOOK EVER! I read that thing so many times. Because of Teh Sex, I wasn't allowed to read it until middle school. I read A Wrinkle in Time and A Wind in the Door in the 3rd grade, but Many Waters was off limits until the 6th grade.

I always skipped these, unless they included outfit descriptions. I lived for outfit descriptions as a kid.

Yeah, but her dad lives in a mansion. This comes up quite frequently in both the BSC and the Little Sister spinoff. Of course she has two of everything.
