@hildavor: Also, Pasita has excellent pizzas, wines and Venezuelan appetizers. #openthread

@picassobear: The ABC website lists the most recent ones, but Wikipedia is helpful for older episodes—otherwise I would try Googling the episode title to fill in any holes. #openthread

@hildavor: Craftbar is phenomenal (and less expensive than Craft or Craftsteak, though still expensive), Pisticchi in Morningside Heights is *very* good and the Algonquin Hotel bar serves delicious, large and expensive cocktails (though it's great if you love literary references). Les Halles' steak frites dinner for

I've seen several grown men pitch fits at Amtrak counters over the years, which is why I always use the self-serve kiosk when I can. #nicolekidman

I showed my husband the list, and his response: "I'm insulted as the supposed target audience for that article, as someone who wants to be a writer as well as a guy who finds women attractive."

@Anna N.: I wouldn't mind that at all, except they just used that trope on Top Chef Masters with Zooey Deschanel. It was a fine episode (Gael Greene regarding the vegans around her was hysterical), but I don't need to see it again. #natalieportman

I have to say that this whole article has me very puzzled about tomorrow's episode of Top Chef: she's a guest host, and they're cooking at Craftsteak in Vegas (per the DVR description). Will the cheftestants think they're cooking meat, only to have the rug pulled out from under them? Will she make a show of

I had a good weekend—yesterday we made delicious pasta, and today was spent strolling down the UWS so I could stop at Sephora for some things, then going food shopping, and finally tucking into a bowl of lamb shanks and noodles.

@yet i: We just had braised lamb shanks with noodles. Braised meat is the best thing ever. #openthread

@rixatrix: The first time I had carbornara was in Italy—I was on my honeymoon and we made it with only eggs, pancetta, Parm-Reg cheese, and salt and pepper, and it was a freaking revelation to me. I'd rather have more cheese than add cream to the situation—that makes it sinfully creamy for me. :-)

One of my favorite ways to spend a rainy weekend night? Have a themed dinner and movie night. Tonight's feature: La Dolce Vita, and earlier we enjoyed some fettuccine alla carbornara—very Roman indeed.

@SarahMC: That is terrible—I hope you're able to clean it out soon. Who would have thought that the GRE would be used for even more malicious purposes aside from the test itself? #openthread

@boobookitteh: I had one this afternoon. It's not quite pomegranate season yet, so it wasn't great, but it's one of the few things to look forward to (with regards to fresh produce) during the winter months. That, and spaghetti squash. #openthread

@funnyface: The number of Moleskines I own is preposterous—I carry three on me at all times. And I also drink tea. #theonion

My apartment still smells like brown sugar and figs due to my husband letting a reduction reduce for far too long last night—but given how shitty it is in the NE, it makes it feel like fall in here, which is not a bad thing at all. #openthread

@erinna: Barkley, once I figured out that the big black spot was his nose and meant that he was not a Cyclops-dog. #openthread

@Ailatan: Thank you! I enjoy chocolate very much. :-)
