That Ron Swanson montage makes me so damn happy, I can't even. I cannot fracking wait for Sept. 22nd, but I also can't wait to get the S3 DVDs and listen to the commentaries because for this show they have always been entertaining.

I know it's not a movie, but I have to say that Parks & Recreation does a fantastic job at not only portraying a lovely female friendship, but the slow-burn relationship between Leslie and Ben (aka Amy Poehler and Adam Scott) that has been sweet and genuine without the angst that you'd see in another sitcom—it's just…
Besides the obvious (cell phone, sunglasses, MetroCard, wallet):
Whenever I see mention of The Lorax I am reminded of the artist I met while working the copy counter at an Office Max. I was helping him out in making some business cards and he told me about how he was commissioned to paint a mural of the whole story in a child's playroom for this fabulously wealthy family and how…
@OffTheRecord: Yep, straightforward is the best way to go, with either the offer of making a nice meal at home or a meal out at a favorite place, whichever will elicit the most pleasure for them.
@KalamataInterrobang: Yesh. First time really eating butternut squash, and I have to say that I'm a fan. I'm sure that they honey, olive oil, herbs, cream and cheese did much to help me like it so much. :)
@Runaddict: Do they work? Do the ravioli fall apart in the water? I've been intrigued by them, but I hesitate to buy a gadget if they don't work that well.
So here's the thing about making homemade filled pasta: you go through A LOT to make it, from making the filling, to rolling out the dough (we mix it in the stand mixer and then hand-crank it out) to then filling, sealing and cutting the pasta....and then you have to cook them in boiling water! And then searing them…
Oh, for crying out loud! I can't handle how adorable this is.
This marks the end of an era, but MoGlo is an excellent successor for you. Godspeed, Hortense, and thanks for all of the laughs!
@Cinnamoncanuck: Are you me? :-) My dad's family is all PA Dutch, so I am also tall and big-boned.
Delicious tapas tonight: pintxos with mahon cheese and chorizo, sweet potato latkes with pimenton de la vera, and Spanish-inspired wings.
@PaigeTurner: Supposedly you're not allowed to watch any television or read any newspapers or magazines (though unsure about books) because your focus needs to be 100% on the Bachelor/ette at ALL TIMES. I'm convinced that many of the contestants go crazy out of sheer and utter boredom.
@Thunderclees: ::golf clap:: Well done!
This is kind of random, but it's at least light: I ordered some digital prints online via Walgreens today for the first time, and when I went to pick it up (well after getting the confirmation email that it was ready) the guy behind the counter proceeded to do the following:
@rixatrix is the girl who lived: Ideally twice a month for everything, though our floors get more attention because they are always filthy.
@serenepanic: If you're in need of a laugh, Get Him to the Greek was surprisingly good thanks to P.Diddy of all people.
Meryl. Tina. Stanley.
@LillithFlair: I have been looking for that on DVD forever. The trailer alone is ridiculously sexy.
@rd2uk: YES—please post! I need footie blogs to follow as I have now adopted FC Barca due to my love of David Villa.
