¡VIVA LA FURIA ROJA!

@etchmiadzin: NO!!! I cannot make pulpa de anything as I am rooting for Spain tomorrow!

I'm planning a menu for tomorrow that calls for bocadillos and gazpacho as I watch the World Cup final.

My husband has done the lion's share of the cooking in our household (especially anything having to do with meats), but my skills have definitely improved over the years, in part due to a stint when I was unemployed and BORED out of my mind and needed something to do to keep my mind busy. Maybe my job search that day

@Rilo-Andy: Cool! It was so much fun to watch my husband freak out over all of the fun kits and the Lego apple was impressive. They did a great job with the store—the displays are the real appeal, but the "pick your own bricks" section is impressive. I am determined to make my own version of a NYC subway staircase,

Recovering with wine and salsa fresca after the craziness that was the Spain—Paraguay game. I was rooting for Spain so I'm happy, but talk about an insane run!

@huls: While it's not as good as being on the show, her commentary via Twitter is pretty amusing!

@TheFormerJuneBronson: This is so well-said. My friends and I would joke about conspiring to dress in dowdy clothes just so we could get onto the show and spend the money on stuff we'd actually want.

My dad: "Oh well" (he says this in a certain cadence that we all know and love).

@belle TL: *but* Michael Bloomberger. Editing function isn't working.

@Dodai: He is the reason why I can't not call Michael Bloomberg anything by Michael Bloomburger.

@pssshwhatever: First season is on iTunes—I kid you not. Same with Fifteen, Clarissa Explains it All and Hey Dude.

I kind of love this mashup. Like others, I called the similarity ages ago, but the mashup works!

@stacyinbean: I don't know why I haven't hearted you yet, but that has been remedied posthaste.

When my now-husband were in the midst of the LDR portion of our relationship, there were a few summers where he would come for his birthday, I'd pick him up at the train station and then we would drive to a certain East Coast shopping mecca and would get down to business in the Nordstrom parking garage in

Good luck Anna! Thanks for all of your hard work and insightful commentary—you will be sorely missed!

@archedeyes: This is an extremely insightful observation and completely spot-on: the more that we can equate homophobia with blatant, angry, and intentional emotional and psychological abuse, the more they will be pushed into the fringe/extremist camp and it will be "weird" or "crazy" to associate with them.

It's berry appropriate for Ms. Shortcake to be out and about, given that it's berry season!
