There was also the rumor spreading of Clinton supporting late term abortion. I couldn’t find any actual quotes or policies from her other than her saying she wanted women to have access to safe abortion and the decision should be between her and her doctor. Which to me is a solid enough position. But for people who

One of the election postmortems I read mentioned that an awful lot of religiously conservative women ended up voting for Trump simply because Hillary gave them absolutely no wiggle room on the abortion issue. I’m a liberal Mormon, so I’m not completely talking out my ass here; the Mormon blogosphere (“the

“my fortune teller told me I was pregnant with the next Hitler so like, you’re welcome.” That’s what I would say. Obviously women don’t know what their zygote would grow up to be, maybe it would be great or maybe it would be evil. But the person who already has an established life should obviously have a say because

I had the same thought. Feminism means protecting fetuses! And lower taxes! Feminism means never having to say Happy Holidays! My local diner serves Pepsi products instead of Coke, and every time I go I’m like “excuse me, I’m a FEMINIST.” Feminism is against net neutrality because women can profit from monopolies

Me, too. In fact I was the first person to use the Crisis Pregnancy center in my town. We of course don’t have a PP, being Republican central here. Anyway, I just wanted a little help, with some baby things. I am totally pro-choice, but didn’t want a abortion or a adoption. I guess I must have seemed a little strong

This is why pro-life should just be called what it actually is, anti-choice. No one’s demanding every pregnant woman get an abortion and good god, if you keep your child, good for you, no one gives a shit, it is in fact your personal choice and affects no one’s life but you and yours.

It behooves me to repeat that if

I blame this on feminism becoming an identity rather than a movement and the American culture of individualism tbh.

My favorite response to the “what if you just aborted our future president argument?” is what if the teenager you forced to have a kid was going to be our next president or cure cancer or whatever and now she is forced to drop out of school to raise a kid she never wanted?

Or when people say, what if your mom did that to you, point out that unlike them, you were a wanted child.

Very true. Controlling another person’s body is decidedly not feminism.

For fucks sake, don’t want an abortion..........don’t get one!

Maybe I’m reaching for a silver lining but I’m at least happy that some of these people were spouting other “pro-life” stances like being against removing health care or the death penalty. I still think they’re wrong on abortion but at least I can appreciate the more logical consistency of their position.

What poisoned the brain?

Indeed...unless this type of science saves his life one day..or a loved one...then he won’t have a problem with it..once cured by “liberal scientists” he will just give thanks to god...that’s the type of brain we are dealing with here

But these people have always existed - led by intolerance, fear and insecurity. What’s rage-inducing and heartbreaking is that the path we are on was very predictable. Nothing that’s happened this week is a surprise but yet people went the ‘whatever’ route for the election.

“We need to rein in science. We need to stop these liberals that think that anything is OK,” he wrote in an email.”

“Feminism is about standing up for those who are marginalized in society,” she said.

You know shit is crazy when you’re looking at National Park Service tweets like “You are leading the revolution!”
