He never should have let on that that was his biggest peeve. Count on SNL to exploit that.

It can also be quite lucrative for the LEOs involved. In the city I used to call home, they would set up “DUI checkpoints.” For every one or two drunk drivers, they’d “catch” 8 or 9 undocumented immigrants, arrest them, impound their vehicles, and (in the event of no one attempting to claim the property) auction off

You’re right! I lived in SoCal for the last one. It’s definitely time for another. Because if this keeps up, all those bootstrappers complaining about lack of jobs will have more than enough to do.

That would have set me off, the likes of which he’s never seen. Children? We’re your CONSTITUENTS, ASS!

And the whole “volunteer” thing... that smacks of some Nazi/militia stuff to me.

We call it the “legal system” because justice is rarely part of the equation.

There’s more to this story: Her first child was delivered by emergency C-Section due to placental abruption (something with which I’m familiar), so when she went into labour early AND saw she was bleeding, she was afraid for BOTH of their lives. (Not just that they would “catch something,”)

I want to be remembered as the Mom who let whole passels of my kids’friends come over and do things like make glitter art and play with clay and make things with beads and finger paint and bake stuff and have popcorn and movies. The things other moms didn’t let their kids do because it was too messy.

Is that from the book “When I Grow Old”? I haven’t read it in a long, long time, but my mom loved it and it sounds familiar.

Oh, and, well, there’s THIS:

Seriously, “See you in court”? Is he so detached he doesn’t realise that’s where this happened?

Just let me be at Ground Zero. That’s all I ask.

Well, here we are, again. AGAIN, but on our home turf.

Well, there’s a whole ‘nother backstory to that. And he is my future ex-husband, but I have maintained my *ahem* decorum.

I hereby dub him POSOTUS. It is so decreed.

Because coal and oil are an almost universally-acknowledged dying way of life.

I am profoundly unable to reconcile the “can do anything” spirit with the “can’t do anything without a man” thought process. Can anyone elaborate?

Arrogance, yet again. Or was he afraid it may crowd out the rest of the voices in his head?

ANOTHER one? MOAR?

Yes. And then expect you to support it for the remainder of your life (because it may well have not been fully formed nor functioning) without any of that pesky AFDC or TANF or SNAP or Medicaid.
