Also, unrestricted Autobahn etiquette:

For those looking for a great bit of derestricted Autobahn: try the A95 from Munich to Garmisch. Currently almost roadwork-free, with very little traffic (and almost no trucks!) during the week days. It’s two lane with quite some curves, so perhaps not ideal for top speed runs (though I maxed out our GTI at 256 km/h

Well, at least they’ve got a sense of humor!

I’m calling it: we’ll see a revival of British Leyland by 2020.

I haven’t got a clue to be honest, but it’s like Star Wars: change doesn’t necessarily make it better.

Steve Saleen proving once again that he and John Hennessey really are brothers from another mother.

1. The firefly light show in the Great Smoky mountains
2. Bison roundup at Custer State Park in South Dakota
3. Great Wildebeest migration in Tanzania and Kenya
4. North Padre Island sea turtle release in Corpus Christi, TX
5. Hawk migration in New Jersey
6. Alnwick Castle in England
7. West Highland Railway’s Jacobite

Are there pictures similar to the last set, but with the JK? I’m always amazed at how big they are in real-life, while they seem quite compact on photo.

I’m sorry, but I can’t hear you over that amazing shirt.

Next up: catching Pokémon to decide the next US president.

Happily surprised to see a couple of European places on there, though I’m guessing they’re still nowhere near as dark as most of the US spots. I can’t wait for my next trip to the mountains (probably French Alps or Pyrenees), mainly for the driving, but the night sky is a great bonus.
