Then, I suppose if I wear a certain outfit because I like how it looks, and don't care if anyone else does, I need to make sure I stay home, lest I be misinterpreted as mainly looking for outside approval?

Definitely laughing my ass off at that one.

The thing is, you started off this discussion saying that all anyone has to do is avoid carbs and exercise, and they can change their body shape.

I hope you do feel better tomorrow.

I am a fellow over-thinker and over-analyzer. On this I sympathize.

Ah, making a joke. That's your problem right there, sadly.

Ugh. What I said, I did not say so well, I guess. I just don't hate this man, OK? Does that make me in love with him? No. I find him interesting. I am sorry. Sincerely.

And I just have to ask: why is an examination of a person's possible motives necessarily apologism?

The DSK thing is upsetting. That I wouldn't deny. Karl does have a history with him that I doubt is really a friendship. He has a personal debt to the man for helping him out of a tax cheat case. And everything around DSK is suspect and fishy. I think Karl should have just paid the taxes, really, and then he wouldn't

Maybe I will go away.

My computer is too old and slow to play well, and it tells me I need to live in France to get emails, so, poo!

I just want to posit that Karl Lagerfeld is not a misogynist, but a misanthrope overall. But not in a bad way. He is really a major in-real-life troll. And also someone who is losing what good judgment he ever had at his advanced age. I know he always was "catty" but do believe it is now more frequent and the tone is

He has a habit of commenting on everyone, period. Over the years, there are many times I've gone back to the original article a "misogynist" quote came from, and found he insulted men in it, too- but somehow that doesn't fit the "all male fashion designers are gays who hate women" trope, so it isn't mentioned.

He is definitely trolling much of the time. I have no question of that.

I can wear heels all week and feel fine, but if someone told me I HAVE to wear them, I'd be out of there and in in flats in, uh, no time flat.

It seems to me that corsets really are simpler than bras- they certainly are more adjustable.

For at least a couple years now, VS has sold DDD cups, down to the 32 band. At least online and in the catalog. And I have been able to find the 34 DD in store.

Am I the only one who finds the fabrics and elastics used to be more of a problem than fit? At least when the fit is not TOO far off?

Aside from the problematic nature of using people as props-

It probably depends on how short one means by short. At 5'4"-ish, guys shorter than me might be a lot more insecure on average than guys who are, say, 5'6" or 5'8". Having said that, I totally agree that jerks come in all heights!
