A vast wasteland indeed…

Agreed. It seemed to me a more 'complete' movie, where everything jibed together really well. Nothing against the effectiveness of "It Follows," although it seems as if that movie had one element that was stronger than the others (that one element being the soundtrack, in the case of It Follows.

I can sympathize with you on the dinosaur roar. While I disagree with your perspective on the film as a whole, that was one sound that stuck out like a sore thumb. Saw it twice with two different groups of friends, and while they liked the movie, they also found the sound to be similarly misplaced.

Actually, more like budget sequestrations.

Sailorlingus?

Loved Pemberton making an appearance again as another middle-manager. Albeit with a fake mustache.

Hit the home button first, Fozzie. Then the phone icon.

I think on that we can agree. I suspect the writers may have seen what happened when they threw in all the mythology right up front, without an overarching concept to support the series. Which is why they murdered their "Big Bad" halfway through the second season. Hopefully, taking the larger arc in the narrative more

I might agree with the sense that not everything needs to have raised stakes, although"Sleepy Hollow" must have pulled off some kind of magic trick where the apocalyptic stakes strengthened the show, probably by providing a framework for all of the sudden monster of the week episodes.

I haven't seen the episode proper, so take this with a grain of salt. Glad to see both commenters and critic are pleased with the show returning to a (slightly) more familiar footing from Season 1, even though I rather miss the infrastructure of the pending apocalypse with the updated "Sleepy Hollow" myth. There, you

Kudos to having Axl swoop into relieve Sue from her difficult start in college dorm life (although the Junior roommate's attitude was a thing of beauty).

Wasn't there a riff off of that in "Hannibal," about how sociopaths are drawn to the medical profession?

Presumably yes (Not going to go into detail here, since this response is suuuuuuuuuuuuuuper old. Other people probably covered it better than I already).

Can't have a Muppet Show without the Wynn!

"Now if you excuse me, I have a 3:00 appointment posing in front of a rainbow whinnying and neighing!"

Loved the comment by the Pines Twins: Oh, that sounds like fun! This will probably take us 26 minutes or so!

That, or the Jumanji-esque board game where the last two players were never seen again…

Loved how she "Made Stan Smile." Right up there with last episode's moment of Soos-panic after they used the mind-control necktie on him for darkly funny moments.

Yayyyyy!!!!!! Eldritch Horrors!!!!!!! Yayyyyyyyy!!!!!

Toby's still stuck in his house after Mabel and friends planted a fully-grown tree too close to his front door, so he's out.
