What if there is no interior, and instead it’s just a giant battery with some wheels and motors on it?

I agree with you on everything but the seat controls.
I work in technology, so I can offer some insider information on why Spotify is doing this...
I think they’re just less photogenic than in person. I’ve never liked the Model X in photos but it looks excellent in person especially from the rear 3/4. Most photos of the Model 3 seem to be at an unflattering low angle the front bumper when it doesn’t have a license plate.
Hold up:
Having a sense of humour and having fun is a good thing. It’s one of the things that makes Tesla great.
The thing is though, it’s this sort of relatable jokery that makes the Tesla brand so profitable. Cause this is how you get customers to stan a corporate entity.

Jason, it seems your analysis assumes that “redundancy” inherently can’t be simultaneously cheap and robust. But in the automotive space (versus something like nuclear power, where the safety consequences are, ahem, high), this is frequently the working principle of a redundant system: a different, cheaper, shittier…
Maintenance shouldnt matter. If the system fails its self diagnosis test, it wont turn on, like a check engine light. If the system loses redundancy, it pulls over to the sholder.
Nothing special about the windshield but perhaps a semi-reflective coating.
Obligatory.
