The concept of flying cars just seems absurdly pointless. I do believe personal aerial mobility will be a thing one day, but in the form of drones and not a car that can both drive on the road and fly. Flying cars are in the same category as amphibious cars.

I’m surpriced the police isnt more active on this front. Here in Austria they routinely check trucks if everything is strapped in correctly, not over the allowed load capacity etc. And if something is wrong they fine the driver (company) to hell and back.

No it wont. If it was a human driver it wouldnt happen either. You’re not expected to swerve off a bridge to your death because a family’s 3 kids stupidly run on the road. You’re expected to drive under the speed limit and slam the brakes and if you still hit them, thats on them. It will be the same with AVs.
