I would think the cars would just refuse to drive in this case. My car complains if it's sensors are obstructed.

No wonder. Cars have become way to expensive to have fun with. For 10k new you get 100k car performance in a bike. Not to mention that motorcycles are way more fun. I’ve all but given up on sporty cars, simply because they are too expensive nowadays.
