That is not true. The production cost is evidenced by the higher starting Co2 costs of all the other cars except the BMW.

That really depends on the type of used car. Here is a graph from my bachelors studies:
The blue line is a used e60 520i so production is not considered(it starts at 0 CO2). As you can see a newly produced Model 3 would break even with the used bmw after about 100000km or  60000 miles.

Get out.

In Austria its red->yellow->green and green->blinking green for a few secs->yellow->red

What you’re supposed to do is finish the job using a torque wrench.”

Whats the bloody point then? Just use the lowest torque setting on your power tool and finish up with the half revolution needed on your torque wrench. Its not really extra work.

BMW GS? Sounds like you just need to ride theese humoungous Adventure Bikes.

I dont believe it. Can some american link the exact legal texts? There is no way you will be able to just plough into group of protesters, no strings attached. Surely there are some conditions like, angry mob is attacking your car and you hit the accelerator or smth like that.

I mean come on. Us snobby europeans like

Why? Just slap 160-200 KWH into the car instead of the 80-100 that is the standard now, and boom you got that range. Isnt Tesla bascially planning to do that with the Tesla Roadster?

Its a great first bike, he might get bored and look to upgrade a few months down the line tough.

What a load of humbug. Keep dreaming party boy, the future only has nuclear threat by the sovjet union in store for us.

Yeah, I thought it would be the story in the title which i would have written off as a dude with terrible social skills and humor and maybe 1 more story, but it was a barrage, the stories in the article much more shocking than the headline. And I think Elizabeth is born in 1996 so she is young and already experienced

Ikr, i thougt this had to be the most american comment ever, calling that behemoth of an X5 small.

Is it a slur tough? To me it sounds more like “to go bonkers for smth” aka to completely fall in love or be obsessed with something. It didnt perceive a negative connotation at all, but hey maybe its because english isnt my primary language.

I wouldnt call WLTP optimistic. Its what economic driving nets you in an avg european use case. Which isnt so highway dominant. And Highways are the EV-range killer.

Eh people dont want that. People do want progress of some sort. Sometimes, like in the case of the Miata it means shaving every gramm and cm possible so that the car is as light and small as possible and yet still delivers great power and fun for its size. Thats tangible progress. People dont want a car that was just

This is the target demographic:

Hey my first bike is a ducati. Granted its used, but it was still a mistake. I low speed crashed it and as a student I dont have the money for original front wheel, achse, and blinkers so I am trying to scrounge up used parts and there are just no god damn parts available.

You’ve also only counted the household sector. Businesses and such make up an even bigger portion of the slice. I believe to have read somwhere that for germany, if everyone switched to EVs, the energy production would have to rise by 10-15% only.

I never understood why the US doesnt like vans. Trucks just seem impractical with the open bed. Everything you carry has to be weatherproof. Something like a Ford Transit seems to be able to do everything a truck does, but better, except for carrying tall items that wouldnt fit in a van.
