Manufacturers kind of dug their own grave with marketing SUVs so heavily. Now their only escape is forward, plunging head on into EVs and trying to make them appealing for consumers.

I read in some article that they had to make it this big to accomodate all the sensors and stuff theyre putting up front. I think its a weak excuse, because even if they needed the space, if you can hide sensors in a grille, you can hide them in the bodywork too.
