I do wonder if cameras will bring fender “mirrors” back. They would have the advantage of the fender position, while the screen is close to you to eliminate the distance problem, plus theyd look hella cool.

Because its geared for acceleration and not efficiency. Maybe they should have added a 3rd overdrive gear that only get switched to in eco mode and makes the car really efficient but slow.

Hey if Volvo managed to mount an I6 transversely why shouldnt Mazda?

Oh god they call the Golf Variant, SportWagen in the USA? What a horrendous name I couldnt even find it at first in my german language google because Sportwagen just means sports car. And a sports car that definetly is not.

While its a cool bike I love looking at, it would be even worse to ride than a Harley. Some bikes best remain a fantasy.

This will definetly be a thing, altough probably as the middle of the road offer in terms of price. Not sharing your ride will be a premium you pay for. The cheapest will probably be shuttles for 5-10 people, they will find a way to squeeze you in. And if you can afford you’ll be driven in a big ass limo. Overall I’d

That is absolutely wrong, 40mpg today produce sthe same amount of co2 as 40mpg did 40 years ago. What cats limit is other stuff like nox but not co2.

1l of gas produces always 2300g of Co2 when burned. The rest is a bit of unit conversion.

I’d say the biggest factor will be cost. If you have the same mobility cheaper, you wont go trough the hassle of owning a car. I for one would be glad to be rid of owning a daily and only having a fun car for the weekends where I actually want to drive myself.

IMO AV dont have to be perfect, they only have to be better than humans. And thats not as hard to do as you might think. Problem is, mostpeople expect AVs to be atleast 10x safer than human drivers, and only then will they accept it.

I wouldnt say there is a perfect wheel size, but there definetly is a perfect wall size, which is 60mm.

This lightly autonomous airport shuttle seems like it will fall into a very limited use case, relying on regular riders in big cities.”

There is cheaper fix, just remove it. Your Biceps will thank you.

I like how the Cybertruck is so bonkers, that this sketch is considered normal.

Ranked by efficiency:

You forgot it immediately? If I had the required dosh I’d be pretty excited for it. Alas I am poor.

“a big power boost over the standard hatch (which maxes out at just 110 horsepower) with a 138 horsepower 1.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder.”

Uhm no? The standard Swift spot that can be bought in the millions has the same 138 horsepoer 1.4 engine. My point is that you make it sound like you can only get a 138hp

The way I read it, its mostly for researchers - aka a lot of international people.

I doubt anyone knows or cares that the drivetrain is from ZF. Not that electric drivetrains are that characterful anyway, and even if they where, Mercedes hasnt had time or products to start building a character for EV drivetrains that is linked to them. So really what kind of argument is that?

That steering wheel needs to be blood red, with a black center stripe.
