I agree so much about the standalones. I've always loved Season 4, and I think the bad rep it gets is from the standalones being weaker than their counterparts in other season. But the arc stuff is On Point.
Was the Magic Scarran Flower really the same thing as an Earth Bird-of-Paradise? I always interpreted it as John's being a smartass ("What's so special about your stupid flower? My mom had, like, a million of them in her garden back on Earth.") coming back to bite him when the Scarrans actually believed him.
Apparently, soon?
Can we do this for Christians too please? I'm not even totally saying this as satire. I think we might really need it. As a Christian myself I'm very upset about the hatefulness coming out of my own church.
"the white guy from Nebraska co-opting black culture"
I am nervous that for a good deal of people out there this will not read as satire :(
FAAAAARSCAPE!!!!!!
My username/fear-that-my-children-will-not-have-a-habitable-planet-to-grow-old-on synergy just exploded on that upvote.
I'm looking for a new show when I finish blowing through Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, so I'll put it on my list!
I've actually never seen it, so I'll take your word for it (I can't even watch satire of the guy without feeling queasy). Burgess it is!
So torn over Outstanding Supporting Actor In A Comedy Series. On the one hand, Alec Baldwin's Trump stands at the crossroads of pop culture and history. On the other hand, I have already mentally handed Tituss Burgess all of the Emmys ever for his line reading of "Stephen Sondheim's… Pinocchio." What to do.
Clearly, it should be the Grover-brings-him-cold-soup Muppet as Michael Steele as Ben Carson.
I guess anyone with an interest in a US internet audience?
BTdubs everyone, it's Save Net Neutrality Day (again. Sigh).
I made that comparison here two days ago and nobody upvoted! ::tears::
Haha, yeah, way too seriously, totally.
Well, I had to upvote this.
That's too bad. He wrote a really good song about Youngstown.
Remember the GWB days, when everything was about "democracy" and "freedom" and "liberty" (we're going to start some (terrible) wars in order to bring people democracy, etc. etc.)? I feel like even that rhetoric is gone right now. Apparently "democracy" isn't in right now with the GOP crowd.
