Imagine dating a man for a decade, not just encouraging but literally giving him the idea to go up for a career-defining role, then hearing him refer to you as a “friend,”

Vanessa “people are gonna die anyway, so how dare you suggest I miss Coachella this year because of COVID” Hudgens
This site really tries hard to make me hate people for reasons that are none of my business, doesn’t it?
Did anyone say anything about lying? Seems the article was about how white women in their quest for equality can sometimes put other marginalized groups down to attain that goal.
“...dresses and sounds like a teenager (probably why Musk was attracted to her in the first place)“
Slowly, for you: Kim was at the show wearing Balenciaga, yes, as were many other celebrities. Kim’s presence was unrelated to Ukraine or to Demna’s theme - she was just there (again, as were other people of note). The *media* chose to prioritize her outfit over the statement the show was making, and then this author…
Writes thoughtful piece on the ethics of fashion houses commenting on Ukraine.
If any part of you is “grinning,” I think you’re the complete asshole in this situation.
The ACTUAL difference, beyond your very subjective musical judgment, is that the other three make sure to be “appropriately” vague about their sexuality, unless they’re discussing heterosexual contact, in which case they are explicit. So vague, in fact, that there are still people out there today that will argue up…
Even a focused gymnast can end up crippled. Like, say, Elena Mukhina.
It’s almost a perverse way of maintaining the pressure that Biles seems to be buckling under.
Ending this tirade with what is essentially “but why isn’t there a WHITE HISTORY MONTH?!” sums up your objections to Meghan quite perfectly.
lol at little girls wearing tights to a wedding as an ancient cultural tradition that must be honored.
Yeah. THAT’S why a lot of people don’t like her.
How dare a bride make a clothing decision for the people in her wedding! Especially one that keeps the comfort of the children in mind.
Counterpoint: if it was a warm day, no tights is vastly more comfortable than wearing tights. It’s ridiculous to force a small child to be uncomfortable because of “tradition.” That has nothing to do with Hollywood or Instagram.
And this ridiculousness is why the monarchy isn't long for this world. Who gives a shit about flower girls wearing tights?
I think its a bit dubious to compare differences in height or agility with whether you are born biologically male or female. The male or female aspect has a much wider impact on your body than just having slightly longer legs or a slimmer frame.
This tends to be my opinion as well. I think that the concept of fairness in a restricted-class sports competition (in this case, women’s sports) relies on a fundamental adherence to the spirit of that restriction.
It’s possible that there are people waaaay out at the fringe (as with any community or group), but I think the vast majority of people on either side of this debate* would say that it is reasonable to require HRT or T suppressants for a set period of time before a trans woman can compete in women’s sports.
