Republicans are openly hostile to us; Democrats are about the same on top of taking our votes for granted. Can we just ditch them both and go full communism already?

I am not a lover of guns, but I was raised by one, who insisted I learn about gun safety and how to use them (yes, THEM). So when I found myself married to one, my compromise on allowing them in the home with children was the above safety measures.

My wife and I are, in all likelihood, moving to Europe before we have a child, because there is no way on God’s green earth that we feel like sending our hypothetical kid to an American school these days. The fact that we’re lesbians makes this decision even easier.

This is what i don’t understand about American’s and their love for guns. You can have gun control and gun ownership they are not mutually exclusive. I am Canadian. I am allowed to own a gun. I’ve looked into it but nothing excites me about gun ownership.

While we’re at it....you know what other person has to worry about getting shot? The president of the U.S. Soooooo.....let’s just do away with that pesky and expensive secret service detail, and give Trump a gun. After all, he went to military school, right? He should be able to protect himself.

I’ve never been more serious about moving to Canada. My wife and I are seriously discussing it, as we have 2 and 4 y.o. sons. I will not send them to a school that arms teachers or has any armed presence beyond a police officer.

Guns in schools in absolutely, without a doubt, the hill I will die on.
