In my high school we had an English teacher who came up from the junior high. He married a girl right, and I mean right, after she graduated. When did he go from the junior high to the high school? Her freshman year. Yeah...

If a jewelry store gets a book sold before I do, I am hanging up my keyboard. How does that even work?

Also! They are closer to canines than most other cats, and so are the most easily domesticated of the big cats. Royalty used to use them to hunt game, much like hunting with a falcon. ... I may have looked into this... several times...

Agreed. I want a stack of them to just hand out while I'm out and about. That or a real life /ignore function ala World of Warcraft.

@YomikoReadman: I hate snow and would rather be off scuba diving... but yeah.

Wow already that time of year where I forget I'm not a dog person? I swear I watch this and then end up going through Petfinder.com for freaking hours. "This one is only three hours away and he loves me! I can tell!"

@intelly: I have my own Don't Panic, so I heartily approve and support this.

@Dalai Dally: Kids don't learn to behave at places if they don't go to those places. My two year old is very well behaved at restaurants, because we've been eating out with her since forever. I agree on the R rated movies bit... but really an arcade is neutral ground, age-wise. Yes, kids should still be polite, but

@PinkLantern: I think the discipline thing is a little different when you're the adult in charge. Then it's not child on the street or at a party, you're pretty much babysitting, and therefore your word is law.

@zegota: Nope. Someday I will make it work.

@Nicci: I used to think that and then I moved to Minnesota.

@notimetobewitty: I'm down with it. Silver is already my favorite. I don't actually like gold. It seems gaudy to me for some reason.

@UrineToxicated: I carry a leatherman multitool that has a knife on it... My mom makes fun of me for it, but damn if it hasn't come in handy several times.

@accesskathryn: Rats are on the approved list. And it's toads, not frogs. Plus, I believe, that's the approved list for first years. Though the expanded list isn't really gone into later.

@tastesgoodtoo: That implies there is a book she reads from, which I doubt.
