Basically, yep! They’re the warring ones who were dicking around in space and basically were so violent that they got booted from the Ark back before everyone united; in essentium, the whole “people survived on the ground” theory is now being totally put into question.

I just can’t believe that they picked almost the exact same shade of blue that mystique is, combined with similar hair color, and then on top of it give her a fight scene that looks pretty similar to ones with Mystique. I mean she’s basically green with a dash of blue in the comics...

Yeah, I actually really appreciate that their relationship has been built on mutual respect and closeness rather than cliched sexual tension like you see on a lot of shows. This felt more meaningful. And on a show that often has stupid people acting unrealistically, it felt totally earned.
Also, Rick and Michonne don’t become a couple in the comics. Rick hooks up with Andrea (who is still very much alive) and Michonne hooks up with Tyreese, Morgan and Ezekiel. Rick and Michonne are not pre-ordained by the comics, it’s something the show has been building up to.

Even last week, we talked about how Michonne was acting like she’s part of ricks immediate family. I’m very critical of this show, but this is one thing that was actually set up for properly.
I wish that the show had foreshadowed this relationship even the tiniest degree, because pre-ordained by the comics or not, it feels very rushed, even arbitrary.
