…OK? Yes, I know writing fan-fiction is easier than writing a brand new concept. That's like, what the entire second half of my post was about. My point was that just because it's easier, doesn't mean it's valueless- I've read some excellent work that just happened to be set against the backdrop of a preestablished

It was the first 3D movie I've ever seen where the screen seemed to have "depth," instead of the characters simply reaching out of the screen at you. It felt like you were actually looking at the place.

All I can say then, is watch it again. It's a pretty solid implication.

Right? Like, what's he going to get, just get a normal job? He'd be like Mr. Incredible working as an insurance salesman.

How? It's not like he's much older than her (not counting years-spent-frozen). It's not like either of them have families to disapprove.

I'm just saying it's totally not incest if something like that happens

She was his neighbor down the hall. They had been smiling at each other for a while, and Natasha at one point mentioned he should ask her out.

RIGHT?

Yes, but before that, in Winter Soldier, he had already had a crush on her. That crush had developed over a good amount of time.

Oh. OK. Yes, I saw the episode as well.

Goddammit I spelled niece wrong. I'm not editing the original post as punishment

Meh. He'd had a crush on her for a while, before he realized that she was the neice of his old girlfriend. It's a little empirically weird, but so is his entire situation.

This is one of those things that I'm glad someone is trying, yet I have absolutely zero interest in.

Their "Pitch Meeting for Wishbone" is still one of the funniest things I've read on the Internet

Agreed. It got a little weird, but overall it was interesting to read.

Stop parroting stock phrases that don't really apply- I'm not "blaming" anyone. I'm saying that Soon-Yi seems like a happy, capable, intelligent, self-actualized, grown-ass adult human being.

It's nice to see an AV article that doesn't imply you're a horrible person if you're skeptical about the movie. Not even being sarcastic, thanks Katie.

I just think you're boxing yourself in- it sounds like you've decided that Soon-Yi is, now and forever, a prisoner in her own mind. I'm assuming that the only thing that would move her out of that box for you is if she got a divorce.

Yeah, this is what I meant.

I was speaking more of hostility against its own readers.
