Shrug. I don't think she's wrong, and it's a criticism that others have said as well. Colbert's show is struggling to find its footing, and it doesn't help that he's contorting himself to fit the same old late-night format.

She is totally right about, well, basically everything you mentioned in this article. Only problem is that, well, I feel like less and less people even watch those shows.

…why does every AV Club article about this movie have this weirdly hostile tone?

Shrug. She's 45, she's out and about, she's in the world. If she was much younger, if she was pressured to stay at home and/or raise a bunch of kids, if she was a part of some group known for coercing its members…

All it means is that the time for acting as if Soon-Yi is some kind of abused victim with Stockholm syndrome is past.

I'd like to see an all-male Craft.

Soon-Yi is 45, their relationship moved from "problematic" to "A bit weird, but whatever, they're both adults," ages ago.

I think it's just a case of "Not everything is black and white, and not everything is the same for everyone."

Jesus Christ AV Club, so now will you admit that it was possible to dislike the trailer without being a rabid misogynist?

…do young people watch late night shows often?

I got a Steven Universe notification for this?

In all seriousness- kinda. Although a more accurate/boring way of putting it would be "Not keeping up to date with modern attitudes and distribution methods."

That's not particularly complex, that's just the "Metallica School of Old Timey Guys Who Poorly Adapt to the 21st Century"

Yeah, I thought Make Up was a much better song. Funny, catchy, and actually had something to say.

This is the Chappelle pancake guy, right?

"It’s the classic chicken and egg quandary, only this time the egg is made by Fabergé."

They were doing pretty well by the end. Barney the horndog who could never be in a committed relationship is a one-dimensional character. He had greatly expanded beyond that before they threw out the Barney with the bathwater in the finale.

As I'm reading, I'm thinking "Ugh, I remember that place. Was awesome until Bravo bought it."

Don't be melodramatic. Here are some criticisms of the finale:

Anyone know how Crystal Skull did at the box office? Everyone I know hated it, but I bet a lot of people still saw it.
