Not denying the racism, but mental healthcare in this country, especially inpatient mental healthcare, is abysmal.

Firing 7 cops is a pretty big deal. I hope there are charges. If the officers are fired, then there’s a chance charges may follow. Rest in Peace Mr Scott, I’m sorry for what they did to you.

In other news: Local town nearby announces hiring of 7 experienced new officers.

I’m gonna bet the issue was “He failed to follow commands” which is based on their absolute need to control. Rather than seeing what any reasonable person could, that he was having mental health issues, police mindset sees ‘Negro who must be made compliant’ and beats him until he is so.

Mr. Martin told the court that he felt “disbelief and guilt” when he saw Mr. Chauvin kneeling on Mr. Floyd. He had initially planned to replace the fake $20 bill with a real one of his own, but then changed his mind and told the manager what happened. Had he not taken the bill from Mr. Floyd in the first place, “this

I actively cannot. I don’t want to watch, but I want to watch, but I don’t because the horror surrounding it and that goddamn defense.... fuck everyone and everything involved.

“You probably shouldn’t be killing that dude right there.”

What got me is how bad this was handled from the VERY BEGINNING. There wasn’t even an escalation—it starts with guns out and shouting. Like, Floyd was obviously having a fucking panic attack. I kept screaming at my TV: “BACK THE FUCK OFF, YOU’RE FREAKING HIM OUT, YOU IDIOTS!” Like, over a $20 bill?! They couldn’t have

He likely will, and that’s when the shit hits the fan.

I watched all of that bodycam footage yesterday — they showed the footage from all active bodycams — and was appalled at the casual chit-chat between the officers as George Floyd lay dying below Chauvin’s knee. Also appalling was Chauvin’s reply to McMillan when he was chided by McMillan for staying on Floyd’s neck

They are saying “Don’t believe your lying eyes!”

Its events like this, that make White people afraid we’re going to do the same things to them, that they’ve done to us. They see these atrocities perfectly well, and know damn well they don’t want any of these things visited on them, or their families. They judge us by their own behavior because having been given the

That was my first thought when he yelled at that poor EMT for fucking caring. I just hope all those folks who thought putting a BLM sign in their yard was enough will be out in the streets with the rest of us when this bitch judge lets this sadistic murderer walk.

Legal experts watching this are saying that the defense is clearly trying to show that Chauvin was intimidated by all the people watching him choke a man to death and just froze up, thus forgetting a man was dying under him. And so it was really the bystanders who killed Floyd.

That judge just told on himself and he’ll have to reckon with that arrogant impulse every day now. I don’t know how he was chosen for this trial but if he doesn’t check himself Minneapolis might get razed as badly as Tulsa, OK did (May 31-June 1, 1921). Happy Anniversary, white supremacy.

Speaking of pussy ass bitches, watch that judge. He’s looking for a reason to let this motherfucker walk. The fucking nerve to yell at the EMT for not being nice enough to the scum-sucker lawyer (with the punk-ass, bitch-ass client who can’t get it up unless he’s inflicting harm on someone because he’s a motherfucking

You see the judge yell at the EMT lady about “respecting the court”? Cos she wasn’t being ‘nice’ enough to the defense attorney or whatever.
