I am with you. The flares are terrible. Also, they are cheap.  If you are going to do tacky, you need to go with better quality than this.

The parents that don’t try are either shitty parents or truely broken. I try to give them the benefit of the doubt (“they’ve been trying since 4:30 AM when they had to get up for this flight”) but parents not even putting in effort is a hard thing to watch as we want to believe every parent cares as much as we do.

If the parent appears to be trying, leave them the hell alone. Rest assured that flying with kids sucks far more for the parents than it does for you.

YES. I was just thinking that I would 100x rather have a crying baby than blaring an Elmo cartoon on your iPad for the whole plane to hear.
