This is so dumb. a) conditioning is part of the game, as is goalkeeping. You lost to a superior side; b) formation is irrelevant, it’s about results; c) did the Aussies outplay us for a half? Yes, but the US was in control for most of the 2nd half; d) better and smarter footballing side?!? Most of their chances were

Oh no...it was absolutely sarcasm. I knew that which you referenced. Hang on while I call the wahmbulance.

And yet she missed the 2 header goals that were practically gifted to her. She doesn’t miss those in her prime.

No clue what you’re talking about...

I agree wholeheartedly. BUT did you SEE the 11 on the bench for the US?!?! We’re so much deeper than every team in our group, and probably every team in the tournament. Age is a small problem on the bench, but I think we are much better positioned to weather the fatigue than any other country.

I think you ease her in. Maybe 20 minutes next game, and hopefully, if they lock up the group by beating Sweden, and the Aussies beating Nigeria (I’m not positive that will lock it up, but I think it will), you can start her in the meaningless Nigeria game, and see what she’s got for as long as she can go.

Agree to disagree. I rank ‘em Morgan, Press, Lloyd, Rapinoe.

I think Wambach needs to sit, and really I would only use her as a defensive sub. If we’re up late in games, bring her in to use her strength to hold possession on long balls and more importantly, to use her size defensively on set pieces. I love Morgan, she’s the best player on the USWNT, but I don’t know if she can

Meh. We’ll see if Nigeria has the legs to keep up that style for 3 straight games against world class opponents in such a short time span. The US has the benefit of depth and likely won’t tire. I’m still not worried about Nigeria.

Not exactly a delicate situation. It was a knee bruise...it doesn’t really put her at much of a risk of more serious injury and it happened 2 months ago. The bigger concern is her form and fitness 10 minutes was appropriate.

I agree 110% with everything you said. Smells great, no irritation. And I had lots of irritation/rashes with earlier deodorants, and I tried a lot (speed stick, degree, etc.).

For my money it’s Press & Morgan up top. It’s going to be a shame to not see much of Wambach given the incredible career she’s had, but as much as it pains me to admit it she probably shouldn’t get off the bench with the attacking options we have.

So you’re saying Johnson is a politician?

It’s like that Chappelle Show sketch, where he flips the white people legal system with the black people legal system. So instead of getting a negotiated “turn yourself in” deal, the white finance fraudster got a raid in his bedroom involving flash bangs and the murder of his golden retriever, while the black drug

5th Grade, I crushed everyone in the class (1 of 4 5th grade classes) spelling bee, so I got to go to the full school, 5th-6th grade competition against the other class winners and top runners-up from other classes. I was a master speller. Still am. First round, I get up to the microphone, Jacket. Easy. Boom.
