Oh, absolutely. One of the biggest failures of the ACA is that it does not put any truly meaningful cost containment measures into place. The notion that the free market will always do the right thing is absurd, and especially absurd when health care is involved.

To me the fact that insurance companies weren’t automatically covering it is just an argument against the free market always being rational. If insurance companies were smart there would be no need for a mandate for such an effective cost saving measure.
