I think it was more surprise at how quickly he got to $500. However, you are correct that is a pretty impressive list of parts for that much money.

Thanks for sharing the list; it is a good reminder that things that are worth having don’t come cheap. Please also don’t forget about the other biggest safety item you haven’t addressed yet before you doing much cruising which is new tires. I can hear those crappy whitewalls crumbling through the picture.

If I were feeling generous I would call it “sorta-flat”. I also forgot to mention that the floor jack was oriented the same direction as the slope of the driveway. A little too much push in the same direction and the whole thing was going to come down fast and hard.

In a walk around my neighborhood the other day I came across a couple of guys that had a Honda Civic completely off of the ground in their driveway with a floor jack holding up the back and stacked 4x4s under the front jack points. I thought about saying something but:
