Oh, I dunno then! I just know a few friends with newborns currently use “breastfeeding” as a catch-all, although my sample size I admit is maybe too small to make more general claims.

And on top of that MANY women have major problems with latching and breastfeeding, or they don’t produce enough milk. The “breast is best” rhetoric is really dangerous because it’s gone the way of “only breast milk” rather then “when possible”. I know lots of women who are shamed for having to feed their children…
Because it’s hard and exhausting being a new mom, and new moms often sleep through a lot of shit because of how tiring it is. Having someone make sure you actually get up would be helpful.
Nannies are often day-time care only. Night nurses are used for night time, and do slightly different things. Doulas can be either day or night help. They’re often short-term as well. You certainly need some money to be able to afford a night nurse or doula, but not necessarily an extravagant amount. People get night…
Often “breastfeeding” is used as a catch-all term, so that if you pump breastmilk but then put it in a bottle, it’s still called breastfeeding. So the doula can breastfeed the baby using the mother’s milk that she’s already pumped out.
Just to add - sadly, almost all higher education institutions globally run like money-making businesses and not educational institutions these days, not just Canada.
Oh sorry I actually missed that part of the article, glossed over the article calling him Kar-Wai! Apologies.
I can’t tell if you’re just messing around, but a lot of Asian countries write their name as Last name - First name.
Sorry I think my point was more that South Asian weddings tend to be “extra” when compared from a western - anglo point of view, rather than the actual concept of the veil itself, if that makes sense. I wasn’t trying to say that the veil is part of a typical indian wedding, and I apologize for writing something out…
She married a white guy who’s been well known to be pretty christian, and if she wants to bring in maybe some south Asian flair then why not just let her.
THANK YOU. Just because it looks ornate by essentially white people standards, doesn’t necessarily mean that’s a universal standard. I have south Asians friend who are generally really low key people, and one still rode in on a horse to his wedding.
The world is bigger than Europe and North America. She was a Bollywood actress before in tonnes of movies.
Girl educate yourself in other cultures. The pre-wedding dance is a tradition called a Sangeet
Exactly on both things. I mean on one hand, crows fuck their dead, so anything goes in wildlife in my book, especially crazed London animals, but on the other hand, the MET police... /shrug
I didn’t know about a Manchester Canal Pusher, jesus. I’ve actually always been surprised there isn’t a bigger issue with bodies in the London canals, or maybe I just don’t pay attention enough....
Yes, that’s a good point. I also think that both SNARL and the police can be dubious. I lean on the side of “there’s more to it than foxes”, regardless of SNARL but I also don’t plan on giving anyone any of my money.
It’s totally a cat killer. I’m not saying some of them aren’t foxes, but I think a bunch are definitely human.
Sorry but this is sadly an attempt at fake news by the cops. The assumption is that they don’t have the money / manpower / both to keep pursuing this and have decided on this story. SNARL disagree with the police findings https://www.croydonadvertiser.co.uk/news/croydon-news/snarl-remains-defiant-after-police-2025723
CAN THEY STOP CALLING ST ALBAN’S NORTH LONDON!?!?!?!?!?! I know that matters to no one but argh gucci it’s not even in the GLA!
It’s also such a North American sentiment because every pub in the UK, including ones serving food, allow dogs into the establishment. There’s one in North Yorkshire that even had sheep walking in and out of the pub on occasion. Sure, no one takes dogs into restaurants in the UK, but it’s more likely for a patio to be…
