I don’t see why it wouldn’t stick around, even though it’s testing with the physical hardware now it’s not actually a requirement. They already have apps that function as a “Steam Link”. Google is announcing their streaming box on Monday and MS isn’t far behind, so I’d say the chances this project is abandoned by next…

Might be worth looking into apps on your TV if it’s newer. I have a Steam App on my 3 year old Samsung that works better than my physical Steam hardware.

You seem very sure of something I wouldn’t be, Steam totally makes sense that it’s a separate purchase. If I have to buy again for the Windows 10 store, when every single one of their other first party offerings are available there, then we have an issue Microsoft. 

Is it really “super underrated” at this point ? I’d counter it’s the most overrated super underrated game. Seems it pops up every few months just to hear about how it’s underrated. I thought it had grating dialog, not really fun shooting, traversal mechanics that could have been so much better then what we ended up…

I haven’t checked in on the new Samsung TV’s but mine is a 2017 model and man I have to say the TV’s built in app for Steam actually out performs my physical Steam Link hardware. I have the TV hardwired with a network cable, worth checking out if you have the means.

After playing Astrobot and Super Lucky’s Tale all I could think of his amazing a Mario 64 like game would be. Was thinking it would probably never happen thanks to the VituralBoy, but I like these baby steps.
