Twins fan here. A lot of us saw Tony Gwynn as the National League Kirby Puckett - insanely talented, festively plump, and beloved.

First Seau, then Coleman - now Mr. Padre. It's hard to be a sports fan in San Diego. RIP, Tony Gwynn.

I've been a Padres fan my whole life and there's plenty of emptiness that comes with that. But this is the worst of them all. I don't think people who aren't familiar with San Diego realize how much of a God he's seen as. I'm listening to the radio and grown men are calling in and literally crying their eyes out while

I was at Olympic Stadium for Gwynn's 3,000th hit. With the exchange rate being wicked awesome back then, I think I got a ticket, hot dog, fries and a Labatt Blue for $15 total. Here's my photo of the hit:

Very sad news. Living in an AL city, I didn't get to see him in person, but if the Padres were the national game or when he got a segment on TWIB, you had to watch. A great player and by all accounts a good guy. Gwynn and Puckett stick out to me as guys who seemed so unlikely to be so good at what they did, and that

I think the Marlins result is showing that no one goes to Marlins games even when they are playing well. Their attendance is pretty much static no matter their current state.

Question still remains. What vehicle will P2 select?

Poor kid is so terrified he's been reduced to sitting on his own stool.

I like to think of it as more of a 90's video game first person shooter. There is a storyline and each time he plays he know when the sentry will turn the corner, or the tank will come over the hill...

Sinus rinse isn't mentioned here and it should be. For many people it's an easy, cheap, drug free way to improve their symptoms significantly.

I like it better the other direction.

Who else just wants one so they can paint peacock feathers all over it?

Here you go...

I never understand why TV directors broadcasting Indycar/ F1/ NASCAR or whatever feel the need to cut or splitscreen to the families or team when a big move happens in a race. It adds nothing and just frustrates the viewer.

COME AT ME BRO!

Wrong Townsend Bell incident. He backed into the Turn 2 wall later in the race, damaging the SAFER barrier.

I've been driving a tow truck in the Boston area for nearly 30 years. I remember when these first hit the streets, I was towing one for a parking violation, and a guy driving another one pulled up beside me at a light. He rolled down his window and asked me "what are you towing it for?". I replied "Blown engine.

The race was also marred by JESUS CHRIST SPLIT SCREEN ON THE FINAL PASS?
