I have a picture from sunbathing on a perfectly legal nude beach. It’s only my shoulders and head, so you can’t see anything, but you could maybe guess that I was naked. I never show people that picture in case they guess I was naked. I can’t imagine showing people fully naked photos in places where that wasn’t

Wait...are you trying to be contemptuous of people not providing enough evidence that you were wrong, so you had to find it yourself?

I feel like it’s a middle ground, wherein they kind of suck, and they raised a daughter who sucks a lot, and now they’re like, “Oh, did you want me on TV? Little old me? Gosh, go on then!” all while seeing the potential for $$$

This woman and her daughter rub me the wrong way, I guess.

Because she has the means and the privilege to sue, I would imagine. If she were just an outraged white girl telling people that the police were mean to her, then we might not hear about it (or we might, but it seems unlikely for this particular story). Instead, her mother (because yes, she is privileged as fuck) is

I thought that their point was that, because she can sue, she should. Like, her white privilege and her class-based privilege put her in a position where she can fight back against police misconduct, so she has an obligation to do that specifically because it’s so much worse for other people.

My sister got her dress at DB, and she looked phenomenal.

Yeah the best I could come up with was the time my sister had to get stitches, but she hurt herself while playing in a waterfall towards the end of a pretty badass camping trip, so...not awful.

Uggghhh I grew up in southern Louisiana, so I know the rules of sunscreen, but I am still fair and burn easily (now that I live in northern England, and my skin isn’t exposed to the brutal sun all day long, I blend in with those transluscent folk). So when I went on a trip to Florida my senior year of college, I was

My friend ate pot brownies before senior grad night at Disneyland (I guess this is a Florida thing), and she ended up being overwhelmed by all the lights and colors and shit, so she and her similarly-high friend had to stare at each other and count slowly to 100 to calm down.

These “with hoes” belong to these bros. They are the bro’s with hoes.

It’s especially terrifying because you can’t always see the truck. I’ll just be walking down the street about my business, when suddenly, some terrifying minor version of a children’s song will start drifting through the air.

Because in addition to being super racist, the scenes with Mickey Rooney are suuuuuuper boring. Like, I cannot fathom how even people unbothered by the racism would find those scenes entertaining.

Also, like...are we really going to pretend that Tiger Lily is such a complex, nuanced character that they couldn’t possibly cast anyone else for this role? Maybe they beefed up her part a little bit, but if that’s the case, it’s already non-canon, and they can tweak the “spirit of the character” to suit someone else.

I feel like people who say they love Breakfast at Tiffany’s (oh hey, 17-year-old me!) really mean that they think Audrey Hepburn is super glamorous in it. I’ve seen the movie a bunch of times, but always in groups of friends where we were just yammering through it and periodically sighing over how gorgeous she looks.

Now playing

Uggggh the ice cream truck in our neighborhood plays all the standard songs in minor keys.

Well I would imagine it’s because there is a clear benefit to passing as White - accessing White privilege - whereas it is not as clear what the reasons might be for a White person trying to pass as Black.

I assumed it was something about factory farming. Like, save our planet from the evils of mass production of ham and beef.

Yeah, I’m cool with babysitting people every now and then, because I get that sometimes alcohol hits you weird, but if it happens more than once, you need to stop drinking.

We took pictures of the flowers so we could be sure to thank everyone who sent them. I’m sure she has people to do that, but I also feel like it is really normal to make a note of something by snapping a photo.
