I’ve never seem male anchors wear jeans, skinny or otherwise. Why should she be any different, just because she has a hoo-ha and not twig and berrys?

Ads are part of life when it comes to free; my biggest gripe is when the close X is made so small you tend to hit the advert and trigger the “action” more often than not. That smells of underhandedness to me.

Riiight... making the headset more complex and much more tear-inducing when it breaks.

The simple answer: no. Even though I use many bluetooth devices (occasionally a headset, most often in-car); this is just another “make it cheaper charge them steeper” tactic that I can’t abide. More than just music/books/speaking, the headset socket also allowed devices to work flawlessly, such as the SQ credit card

Actually, #2 a little more fiddly than that from what I’ve experienced (and been told by same banks). If you do not carry a balance when they report - and here even $5 is enough - your credit card doesn’t get reported; in one case I had my limit reduced because I didn’t carry. This means your overall credit ratio is

Hi Kristin,
Not really the point I was making... in my example, my son actually has what experts call fair credit (620-680). Bad credit - according to credit.com, CreditKarma, etc - is below 600. So... I disagree. “Good enough” credit is simply not - you need GOOD or Excellent credit these days to get consideration.

Being a rookie is OK if you’re new - but if you’ve been in the field for a couple decades, and just new to the company, it wears thin fast...

I find it amusing how people with good credit take it for granted. Seriously... try surviving on even 100 points less. Watching my kids muddling through things has given me a lot to think about, and bad credit is one that matters everywhere. And be clear: bad credit is the same as no credit, is the same as “too low

A number of online webnews platforms do, especially quasi-tech news sites. Biggest sinner (and actually one I left soon after the “change” occurred) is wired.com...

In my case it’s ads AND the fun viruses and malware that sneak through advertising banners. In some cases it’s because some times think it’s cool to play loud audio adverts. So, no, I won’t be disabling my ad blocker...

So I ran this way for a long time before getting a proper switch, mostly since it took so looooong for decent screen technology in the more affordable switching devices.

I do - mostly because I have both a work laptop and a home gaming computer (and the family’s laptops for which I seem to be the support guy). The handy part is having a universal dock so I can just plug a laptop in and have all my devices activate on that system, without needing to replug everything.

Butthurt much?
On a more serious note, the list of reasons really doesn’t sync with the assertions that a fire hydrant is in use. In fact, I see a very real garden hose of the garden tap variety there, which seems to be the source. But hey City Official, you keep on complaining about fire hydrants...

My employer sees performance as either you’re the best, you barely meet the requirements, or you failed to meet. Oh, and only a few (read: 1%) of the company can be the best, so pretty much everyone either barely meets requirements to keep their job, or they failed.

“If the skills are specialized or experience is important” To a point, however I’ve seen them take that position for roles that are literally impossible to fill. In one case it took 12 months to fill a role because HR had decided “the role isn’t worth X, regardless of what the market is paying we won’t pay more”.

The initial report also ignores Amazon Music, which is pretty extensive from what I’ve seen.

Many companies lately - last decade or so - have adopted the position of not negotiating. They make an offer, and if they really, really, really want you they may add a few dollars to the bottom line. But rarely if ever does that happen.

Part of the challenge - the important one, imho - is understanding exactly what you earn, and how you earn it. Too many people bank on money that they haven’t earned yet. My daughters favorite is to say “well I’ll earn $50 extra this week so I can afford this $50 pair of whatever”. Yes... ok... but then she says it

I’m sorry, but how freaking lazy do you need to be to not pay attention to a pot of rice. It’s not complicated - put water in, put rice in, let it cook for x minutes, check for readiness and remove.

I can only partially agree. Yes, store-brand is typically decent value for money, and yes it still tastes decent. BUT... and it’s a big distinction... either the flavor you want is not there, OR the flavor they have is often not really the same. Most often this is true of BBQ flavors, not really the cheese flavors
