It’s probably going to apply mostly to new houses - few houses with gas cook tops have a spare 220 volt outlet for an electric (or induction) top. Induction cook tops are already expensive, having to run a new 220v circuit makes them even more so.

We’ve been looking at newer houses and a lot of them - and I’m not talking cheap houses - have the cook top built into the center island with no vent hood. I can’t imagine why people want that; it is an immediate “no” for me when I see it.

One thing I’ve learned over the years is that the triggers vary quite a bit from person to person. You can find lists of common triggers, and try to narrow them down (as the article says, keep a journal). Also, some vitamins and supplements (e.g. Magnesium) can help - but again, what works for one person may not work…

I suppose you could also just use QR code generator websites to make your own QR codes and print them on labels. It would allow a lot of info in a small space.

I’ve had two, and the second prep didn’t see as bad as the first. I’m not sure why. One lesson I learned from the first: don’t eat a big meal afterward just because you haven’t eaten in a couple of days. Ease back into eating, it was much better on my stomach.
