I was nodding along with you until I froze remembering all the racist douchebags* who freaked out about Rue from the Hunger Games being “made” black even though she was literally black the whole time, you guys. Obviously it didn’t hurt the franchise any at the box office, but those people do exist.

I know I am in the minority here, but I’m not a huge fan of Terry Gross. I can’t really put my finger on it - - but she seems, um, just really, um, scatterbrained or um, not really prepared for her um, interviews.

“Hi, welcome to Fresh Air. I’m Terry Gross. You may know Jesus of Nazareth from his kicking the moneylenders out of the temple or possibly from his biographical anthology, The Bible. Jesus, welcome to the program.”

HE IS BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECT AND BROODY AND THINKING AND JUST SO VERY VERY. PLEASE TAKE THIS COMMENT BACK AND APOLOGIZE

I know! I think Meghan stole her thunder with her apology.

Alright, that makes more sense. The words “alleged” and “fire” just don’t look right in the same sentence. Most fires are very noticable.

ESPECIALLY those gawdawful organic gummy commercials that play before each and every one and can’t even be muted?!?

“We consume 500 million straws each day. The equivalent of 127 school buses filled with straws. It’s disgusting, ” Adrian Grenier declares the minute I sit down, brandishing a plastic straw that the waiter had forgotten to remove. “There should be children in those school buses, going to school, to learn, not straws,”

Lionel Shriver is a nightmare. It comes through in her books. You can’t suppress personality.

That’s the thing: if she was Muslim, everybody here would be saying how wonderful that choice is. THAT’s the problem. I don’t find it healthy either way.

I agree. To me freedom is the name of the game when it comes to feminism. So if this woman is freely choosing to be abstinent and refrain from any sexual contact, rock on. Now if she was being forced to do this, by her parents, or someone else, then that’s not feminism no matter how she tries to color it.

Would you be saying the same if this woman was Muslim? It’s funny how Jezebel works: Christianity is oppressive and bad for women (and I agree) but suddenly when it comes to Islam, liberals start praising it, even saying that Muslim women are cool to wanting to be covered up. The cognitive dissnonance is simply

She is living the life that feminists throughout history have fought for, because feminism should mean that a woman can live her life on her own terms. She’s living the feminist dream, of choosing when to marry, and when to have sex, even if that means never.

Feel free to disagree with me. Here’s my take. Choosing chastity as a woman isn’t feminism. Choosing chastity as a woman and having the right to not be judged as less or more of a human being because of it is feminism.

Matt Lauer is a hack. It is true. That wasn’t embarrassing for Clinton, it was embarrassing for NBC. Hey NBC how can your “marquee talent” not understand how to stay on point or be respectful to Military/Veteran’s issues facing this country? Fire him. If a woman had pulled that crap, there would be calls for her head

I’ve always thought he was a complete jackass, I’m dumbfounded as to why some people love him.

Wouldn’t surprise me at all to hear a toe-tap bathroom story about this guy

Also becoming more popular (apparently): Hacking the FB pages of minor political figures. I never knew hackers were so interested in the musings of township committeemen.

I’d enjoy it if she permanently went away.

There is absolutely nothing about Lena Dunham that I enjoy.
