I remember seeing one of those advertised for several issues in Tips & Tricks magazine back in the late 90's and oh god where did my childhood go I miss it terribly.

They sell these at Target, here in America? I'll have to try these. (Also... Brother!? Is it really you!?)
For being so obsessed over graphics, I'm surprised Square still thinks VII's are anywhere near acceptable today. I mean, not the prerendered stuff so much, just the characters that look like they could put your eye out with a stray polygon.
Hornets, wasps, and (some) bees are nature's jerks.
Star Wars, honey, you need to think about retiring.
SNAP.
Am I the only person who actually misses Kevin Butler representing Sony? Despite being a character, he feels more real and authentic than Reggie Fils-Aime does at Nintendo.
I've shockingly had my one and only 360 since January 2009 (I remember because it arrived in the mail the day of Pres. Obama's inauguration with my watching it after successfully connecting to Xbox LIVE).
Me-Mania need mo' Mario.
In my entire life of watching these things, I have NEVER seen a close-up of a spilled flammable liquid not get ignited by a bullet, match, or electrical wire.
I remember when the game first came out and was using what looked like repurposed Final Fantasy V character sprites.
I go the PC version mostly because it's a larger game, so I expect it to have more bugs from the get go. Knowing that patches will be speedy and frequent (at least a little more so than on consoles) and the fact that the game will only improve when I purchase a new PC make this a fairly futureproof buy for me. I've found that now that I'm finally living amongst a few cats, I don't think I like them as much as I used to. Still great YouTube material, but not as awesome to have as pets as I was lead to believe. I think it's because they don't fire enough lasers and sheet.
I facepalmed so hard when I read the quote "besides, there are transvestites on the team that I hired."
I've always gotten the impression that Nintendo talks down to us, and I don't like it.
I really liked the aesthetic of those weird "cube people" we saw in earlier demos. I hope they weren't replaced by the generic alien design we see above.
But we actually liked the original style, by and large. We have enough serious shooters as it is.
OMG, the invasion is being lead by the Prince of All Cosmos!
I think the wording in the article suggests that only the idea of a low price point was being thrown around.
Me too. I think the devs also said they would put a little more effort in characterization than other shooting games had as of late, so there's that parallel too. :)
