That would actually be pretty great. Or set it during WW1 with the Martians all “hey, mind if we get in on this whole killing millions of humans for no reason thing?”

Jesus, what a fucking child.

Yeah, I’m glad he’s getting work.

LOL the Ottoman Empire in during WW1 was a geriatric, third tier empire that required German money, equipment, and leadership to even stand a chance in the field.

Ironically, the Catholic Church is the most metal organization in the history of the world.

Harris has a lot more in common with those religious lunatics in Pakistan who want to execute Asia Bibi for blasphemy than he does with me that’s for sure.

Space Jam had a pretty great soundtrack.

I mean I guess better late than never but I’m not gonna feel bad for ol’ Mikey Cohen making that Faustian bargain that will end up with him in prison.

Dale would have been all in on Trump though.

I’d like to see a movie about Julian the Apostate. Plucked from studying philosophy to become co-emperor by his cousin Constantius II he kicked a bunch of barbarian ass on the German frontier, was forced to go to war against his cousin after his men proclaimed him Augustus, and died in battle fighting the Persians.

Where he promptly gets captured in Italy’s disastrous attack on British forces in Egypt.

There’s a Korean movie called R-Point about Korean soldiers encountering malevolent ghosts in the jungles of Vietnam. It’s honestly not an amazing movie but it might scratch that itch you have.

Did he really do that umbrella thing? It’s been awhile since I’ve read A Bridge Too Far.

Gotta love all the “constitutional conservatives” coming out of the woodwork saying that it’s totally cool for the president to change the constitution by executive fiat.

It’s possible that if MacArthur hadn’t pushed the UN forces to go all the way to the Yalu the Chinese wouldn’t have entered the war but I personally think they were going to come in anyway after the destruction of the KPA. MacArthur and his staff were absolutely convinced that the Chinese would not enter the war, even

Snarky replies are not a rebuttal.

Am I wrong? It wasn’t a victory in the same way WW2 was a victory but we went to war to preserve the Republic of Korea from DPRK aggression and did so. Even after the disaster of the winter of 1950-51 we retook Seoul from the CCF and forced a detente. Or do you think the people of South Korea would rather be eating

We didn’t lose Korea. 56 million Koreans live in a free, vibrant, and wealthy democracy.

My grandfather has lived on his retired Navy enlisted pension (as well as some deft investments) for the last 40 years. I don’t buy that some retired colonel can’t live on his O-6 pension.
