Having never read the book I'm listening to the audiobook while I watch the show because I'm an idiot. Spoilers for both:

Something something free Max B

I think it's something you have to take Toobin's book at its word for

That really happened

Yeah plus it's a rights issue too which is probably why the show skips Derry. If you're curious that scene I described happens again when he gets to Dallas and sees the depository for the first time. A voice in the back of his mind tries to talk him into going to the 6th floor to take a look but again he resists.

I'm listening to the audiobook for the first time and yeah, this. The final time he stops Frank Dunning I was so glad they managed to condense the hell out of the day because I couldn't bear the thought of redoing the whole day again.

All of that plus at one point he's in the woods around Derry and finds a large drain pipe. A voice enters in his head tempts him to just drop the whole mission and just join it inside of the pipe but he quickly gets his shit together and leaves.

Whacking great bear

To be fair Under the Skin was my #1 of 2014 and it does not surprise me at all that it has low ratings on Netflix/Itunes/Amazon.

Vulgar auteurism strikes again.

The anise thing was also really funny to me because all these people are camping out in this insane line and yet the only flavor they are offering is licorice.

Would that it were so simple.

I also haven't gotten around to it but I can't imagine what a bummer a movie based on the true story would be. If anyone doesn't know and wants to feel like shit google Takako Konishi.

I've taken to just buying seasons on iTunes for that reason. It works out to like a buck an episode which I can live with for KOTH

Well he was learning from the king of bottoming out. God I love that episode, Bobby in full Bill mode is hysterically funny.

Going to second that last point. I've heard that season 2 might be Katrina related (I'm sure that is going to be tasteful as hell) but could you imagine 10 episodes on the Clinton Impeachment?

I know it exists thanks to Uhh Yeah Dude but…… yeah.

You can replace "The Witch" with "Deafheaven" and "horror" with "metal" and still keep all of the tedious outrage!
