I always wish I had more to say about Bodega Boys/DvM but it usually just comes down to "this is most the consistently hilarious thing I listen to each week".

Anyone else check out Love over the weekend? Spoonman has a bit role on the show and my GF and I were losing our minds.

Good news he's also working on "The Knight" which is going to be a medieval war epic.

I never got to check out that Food Lab show they did on Vimeo but it feels absurd to me that Kenji doesn't have a show at this point (that cookbook is so good tho)

My mom is from northern ass Maine (~90 min north of Bangor) and that stuck out like a sore thumb for me too!

My working theory is this happens especially to the nerdy types who also hate sports across the board (WWE included). You wind up treating the critical reception of movies like some sort of competition. Which is fine except art doesn't really work the same way baseball does.

OJ Simpson is at the US Open today…. Yeah he's 2 under…

That's why, iirc, it was just an Easter egg on the dvd. Man remember when those were a thing?

I've actually never seen 3 but now kinda want to because of how fucking gross and bonkers that John Paul I thing sounds.

Has a movie ever been re-cut in chronological order and been better for it? This and Memento are the only examples I can think of right now.

No idea how he could possibly top his 2015 output but I am very here for it.

Second with 10. Revenant lead with 12.

Jesus Chris when was the last time we had a best cinematography field that was this stacked?

A few years back I saw a midnight showing Die Hard at an indie theater the week before Christmas. Place is sold out, crowd is super into it. First shot we get of Rickman coming out of the back of the truck lead to a solid 30 seconds of the entire theater losing it's shit. I'm usually not one for clapping at movies but

I also have a huge soft spot for that movie/pre-crisis Amanda Bynes in general.

I love both pot and Broad City but man the pitch for Time Traveling Bong is just a little bit much for me.

I don't really care about Harry Potter the franchise/think it's pretty awesome Hermione is being played as a black woman. That said Rowling saying shit like that rings out as, was it Dumblebore, being gay like well after the fact. Like it's super well meaning and I can't begrudge it but throwing it out after 15+

For what it's worth I really don't care about the kind of shit Cannon put out but still found it to be a very fun and interesting doc.
