So the universe is evening the field?

Is it accurate to say that the Pens are sporting the most opportunistic offense we’ve seen in a while? Maybe ever? Because the elite goalies that they’ve run through in these playoffs have been made to look foolish and they’ll do so in less than 20 shots a game. It’s like they look at the numbers, shrug, and say, “We…
As a Pens fan, I’m finding this statement to be more accurate by the game.
Pretty cool story. How the fuck the Pens won this game with 12 shots is a more ridiculous story. Not the first time they won a game being outshot. But this was something else.
Cullen ain’t making Kunitz money, and his drop off hasn’t been nearly as severe. Cullen has put together some solid seasons these last two years and done so for peanuts. Kunitz has had a good run and I would love for them both to go out with a Cup. Perfect cap to solid careers.
Well Fleury has played 14 and some change games in a row. So a break wouldn’t exactly hurt.
There we go. There was something to the art that I couldn’t put my finger on. But you nailed it. Loved that game.
I know they’re the Caps, but seriously, there were times in this series where the Pens could barely put enough players on the ice to actually even play a game. As a Pens fan, I’m happy but come the fuck on. Caps, how do you not wrap that up?! That team is probably going to look drastically different next year.
Yeah he had two cracked vertebrae from what I recall.
The hit to the head felt like a bang-bang play. Ovi though? There’s a lot happening there before the hit.
That’s a fair point!
Yeah, that all seems really convenient. Now if he shows back up on the ice in the second period, the Capitals might be REALLY screwed. Hope he’s fine, and the Caps lose anyways. Just as a massive screw you for being the Caps.
Ultra Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers comes out in May, plus whatever they drop on the eShop which no one knows what games that will be until it shows up on there which is kind of annoying. Then Arms comes out just a couple of weeks after that, and then Splatoon another couple of weeks after that. So some…
I guess the real question is when has Mike Milbury not said or done something where he wasn’t a total ass? Because I hate that dude. I hate his face. The minute I see his face I just know that something stupid is getting ready to pour out if it.
I believe he’s one of the best players in hockey. Thought so before I found out he was injured, thought the same way after. At no point was I advocating that, due to his injury, he should receive more recognition. The statement was more of a “Hats off to you, Karlsson for continuously playing at a high level despite…
Karlsson is truly a great player. Playing with those hairline fractures in his foot apparently hasn’t dulled his game at all. The man deserves all the recognition.
Subban has a had a quiet season, especially since he was injured for a stretch. Flying a bit under the radar. But he’s been a good fit with Nashville and that city LOVES him. He made Montreal’s offense look better than they actually were and that got exposed when Weber showed up. Weber is no slouch, but he’s not…
Yeah, Nashville squeezing into that 8 seed and then straight blowing the Hawks off the ice was the most surprising thing of the playoffs so far. Rinne was already a solid netminder but he’s looking like a world beater right now. Plus if Montreal doesn’t make it out of the first round, then the Subban trade looks even…
Legitimate question regarding this graph: Don’t a majority of the teams on the negative side play more of a beat the shit out of their opponents style? I know Calagary and Anaheim were the most penalized teams this season for sure. It’s the only info I learned from that entire playoff series.
Malkin is on one right now. He came back from that injury ready as hell to play. Kessel and him are finally clicking too. Different from last year for sure.
