Torts is just the classiest guy ever. He can be funny at times, but that I’ve never seen a NHL coach turn toddler so fast after he loses a game/series. The Jackets got outplayed and had maybe a call or two not go their way. They went 2-2 against the Pens this year. It wasn’t like they dominated the season series and

If they ain’t the best description of the NHL playoffs in general, I don’t know what is.

Has Bylsma actually proven he’s a good coach? He had all world players in Crosby and Malkin in his first head coaching gig. That may have lead to some inflated numbers. The Sabres have a decent amount of talent, but they just seemed so lost on the ice at all times.

“This was a series” is the most descriptive you could be. For a series with a team named the Flames, this didn’t really have any heat.

I used to go to Dallas Stars games before I left Dallas. No matter who they would play, if they were down some goals late, I would turn to my wife and say, “Maybe they should try the Flying V.” She’d immediately reply that she wanted a divorce.

That’s a fair deal.

You’re doing the (dark) Lord’s work! It’s appreciated!

As a Pens fan I thought the Caps had the stuff this year, especially when they picked up Shattenkirk. But they’ve been exposed as having the same problem that the Pens had for years between Cups, and that’s they are unbalanced with their lines being extremely front loaded. Ovi, Oshie, Backtrom, and then? There’s

I’ll agree that Sullivan is definitely a good fit for this team and all of these rookies coming up from playing for him in WBS last year makes their transition to the pros all the more seamless.

His dad coaches at Minnesota too. That can’t hurt in anyway having a college coach for a dad.

Yeah it’s kind of funny if look at each one of their lines. They each play a pretty different style from one another. It became really evident last year with when PK was on the HBK line. There’s one over arching game plan of run and dump, but an individual game plan for each line on top of it. Sullivan has turned out

Pens fan here also. 1-2 games was what I was thinking. The Pens fan in me wanted two games, but the hockey fan in me thought one was plenty sufficient. I keep watching the replay to see what precipitated that hit from Calvert and I’m just not seeing it.

She’s just showing her displeasure with a team that has pretty much kept all of their players on the ice this year. How the Pens are doing so well this year despite being straight up decimated by injuries is a question in and of itself.

Lavar (Butter)Ball. I apologize for nothing.

Pens fan here. The last time they played the Jets, that game was brutal. Some questionable hits on both side, start to finish. Matta and Shultz were both injured, and it was one of the most violent games I’ve seen played that wasn’t played between rivals.

Has anyone noted that if cell phones are creating an issue how that might affect their really stupid plan of using an app on one of those devices for voice chat in multiplayer?

Just if you download it digitally is what he’s referring to. This has been established already so that doesn’t exactly make this news.

You feel those hits into the glass and watch those boards sway. My favorite thing though is a puck off the goal post. Those things reverberate throughout the arena and if it’s the home team shooting, 10,000 plus just collectively groan, sprinkled with some random shouts “Son of a bitch!” Good times all around.

All due respect to Geno and Crosby, but Kessel is playing great this year. Saw on some forums complaining about him needing to shoot more and that’s why he was brought in. He’s got 20 goals and he leads the team in assists. What a weird complaint. Playing a complete game this year and looks way better than last year.

Born and raised in the deep southeast as well. First game I ever saw on TV was an early 90s Pens game when I was a kid. Heard somebody say on the broadcast the name Super Mario and being a gamer as a kid as well pretty much solidified who I was rooting for going forward. Never looked back.
