it's not that uncommon or inventive for a show to kill off one of their main characters of color. look at sleepy hollow's abbie-less new season. it's like show-runners feel compelled to prove no matter how essential a character might appear to be, they're still expendable if they're not white.
sometimes that kind of bonkers mashup works. i'm just aggravated that they took jughead, one of very VERY few canon asexual characters, and made him a "heartthrob". like wow what an inspiring twist! i can really see the david lynch inspiration there.
what the hell, uncle ben???
"eccentric therapist". why do i feel like he's gonna spend half of each session talking about himself & they'll ~~heal each other? oh right, that's how hollywood treats every therapist character who's white because they don't feel right just using them as a prop.
wasn't the harmlessness a big part of the issue? i remember cracked saying that it portrays the early 20th century south as this grand place where racism didn't exist.
can he be considered the originator though? the reason he mentions snowflakes is because kids are brought up with the idea that people are like snowflakes, beautiful, no two the same, etc. i always thought trolls took the term from the same place they took participation trophies.
i also don't understand why they're so quick to pull episodes from on-demand. what's your hurry, honestly? there are so many shows i decided not to watch because they only have like the latest two.
"it's a cactus again, isn't it?" DEEP SIGH
netflix tried spacing out, but the problem was the show they chose was so mediocre i doubt many people wanted to stick with it week after week. they'd get better data trying the experiment on something actually engaging.
no, it's all mom and pop places that have all the appearances of looking legit and are the most popular spot on their respective street, but their pizza tastes like cardboard even as everyone around you is raving and you have to wonder if it's just you.
though the original premise of his comment is flawed. the stanford(?) experiment (and, uh, US foreign policy) shows it's really not that hard to get some humans to cause each other pain.
he was a good, solid character actor and i always liked seeing him show up in things, even if i didn't like the person he was playing. i'm really sad about this.
maybe they felt like making the 100th significant a few weeks ago would cancel out any specialness they gave to this one.
fair warning. elementary has been guilty of this at least twice off the top of my head.
while i'm not an addict, i feel like managing my depression is a definite faucet situation.
he sort of looked like a decepticon from king arthur's court
that sounds incredibly cable to me
caricature colossus was annoying. why keep him CGI'd the entire time? it detracted from the character and cost a ton of money. maybe i wouldn't mind if i weren't an x-men geek idk but piotr's an awesome character and they pretty much wasted him.
my local theater owner was quite content to look the other way. except my dumb brother had to go and deny being 17 and he had to wait for my friend's and my turn in line so i could take responsibility for him.
