i felt so bad for my wife misty. 75% of the season she was forced into he annoyed law enforcement figure being kept in the dark cliche, then she got to break out of it and accomplish something finally? and THEY TOOK HER ARM. what disrespect, i swear.

it could have worked, if they'd leaned harder on 1, left 2 mostly to subtext, and… hm. no, sorry, 3 just didn't work with this dude at all. maybe i'm just totally over wildcard joker types. more often than not, they end up obnoxious.

murakami was my favorite thing ever because of his scenes with alexandra. he hated her so much and he was so dryly blatant about it. he even stole madame gao's "i'm going to speak my native language even though everyone else in the room is speaking english because screw english and also screw all of you".

ken leung. but that's it.

imagine if danny could time-travel

i have such a begrudging affection for oliver. he is a privileged, pigheaded, chauvinistic mess, but i dunno.

i keep up with shooting schedules to see if there's anything near me that might be fun to drop in on. it feels like marvel netflix is filming continuously with zero time in between shows.

i agree with your premise, but i wouldn't include mahershala ali and robert redford in the list of wasted actors. not even james spader. though i hated his movie and didn't even particularly enjoy his performance in it, ultron gave him ample opportunity to chew the scenery. to replace those guys, i submit lee pace,

i didn't consider it an astonishing twist so much as an organic* progression of elektra's arc. she's not going to end up happily ever after with matt because karen's still there. the other primary alternative would be for one of the hand to run her through for matt to have something to throw back his head and scream

THE BRITTA OF VILLAINS

it's not unheard of for people wearing vests to break ribs, crack shoulder blades, etc. i imagine the higher the caliber, the less likely he'd be to not only be able to stand unmoved, but to not need medical attention of *some* kind

that theory would make more sense if it weren't documented that women on the whole make less money than their male costars, in the same film. like, a lot less money.

i getcha, dude. consistency in an underrated quality.

nice catch. i did keep expecting something to happen to the group at the precinct. it seemed really unwise of all of them to get their loved ones in one place. and yet, pleasantly…

if they really leaned into the internal injuries flaw, he wouldn't be nearly as bulletproof as advertised, so i guess i'm cool with him walking away from getting hit by a truck every once in a while

all their conversations just reminded me of emma thompson's rant about female characters existing to go "no, don't do this heroic thing. i need you. the children need you."

yep. madame gao had warehouses full of blinded disciples in season one. it was creepy as hell.

gillian said fox initially demanded things like she always walk behind duchovny. they probably hated her because she called bullshit on that.

this is almost exactly how i felt about it. i got their point, but it was framed so poorly they deserved all the new ones people ripped them for it.

also the documented wife-beaters like sean penn and josh brolin, and mark wahlberg, who literally beat a man blind in one eye in a racist assault.
