That’s what I always gathered. I can definitly see them having a place to protect workers when those laws fail, but I haven’t personally seen a situation that was the case.

I lived in England for nearly 6 years and dealt with their tax system and the benefits that came with them. I can assure you, its nicer to have the 60ish% take home pay with their tax system than the 85% take home pay i have now that is then double or triple taxed and pilfered by profiteers down to around 45 or 50%…
