I'd imagine he's hiding out somewhere. He'll want to save whatever he has left for something special.

The hedges probably had the easiest time adjusting, since they still had their day jobs. Once they got over the shock of no magic, they probably went on with their lives.
Even though I don't think it works, I would have a lot of respect for the writing staff if season 3 started with Penny in the library and we find out he's in the afterlife portion of the contract. Kady's mental state would be a fun subplot.
It might be a while until Kady can start that project, since it depends on magic existing.

Somewhere where Alice would only kill him, if she had decided to play it that way. And where no one at Brakebills could be sure he didn't box her (until he gets close to Penny).
Banks would have to be ready for that. The time magic couldn't be super complicated; Richard and Co. didn't have issues with it.
Tangent: I don't think she could have fixed the wellspring. I think the White Lady is Fillory magic, and draws from the wellspring like everyone else (except probably Ember).
It's a great concept: high quality fanfic in a different medium that pays & involves the original author. I wonder if we'll see more of it.

The Beast shows us how Rick and Morty truly transcends time and space.
I don't think I've ever seen a show based on books I've read where I have so little idea what's coming next.
It was to drive home the fact that there's no Chosen One.
I wouldn't worry too much about them killing off the viewpoint character's love interest in season 1.
