Indeed - in my brief search a few RWD variants popped up and even fewer Msport optioned cars. Those command a premium, no doubt a fun package to own (I was only able to test drive an AT Msport).
Right now parts seem plentiful, hopeful I can drive it another 5-7 years without too much fuss.
I have been fortunate enough to have a reverse commute for years (by choice and luck) and continue to live in areas without daily wall-to-wall traffic. There will certainly be an automatic SUV in our future, this is part of shuffling the garage to maintain a 2 MT, 1 AT balance.
It’s clear the driver is a stranger to this road (course), unaware of many of the turn combinations and taking an odd line at times. That being said I have seen folks in rental cars driving harder on local backroads - props to him for taking a beast out and driving it somewhere other than a C&C parking lot.
