Its all about volumetric efficiency. And reaching peak Stoichiometric ratio of fuel/air. Honda engines are extremely efficient reducing parasitic losses on the intake side of the equation, combined with the “cheat” they can employ using VTEC with higher lift/duration cam lobes at higher RPMs. Open up the exhaust area

MY EYES! Oh how hideous

COTD

Its like the cars in Total Recall I guess. Can’t wait!

smh.....I hold the buttons down the whole time.

Holy Shit. That place is amazing, and whoever made it is F’n Amazing.

Lmao.......really? Man thats absurd. Poor maintainers

Please tell me it wasn’t an XJ. #SavetheXJs

I plan on keeping mine for a long time. I had the 4.0 rebuilt completely. It’s fairly clean has 150k. Some rust which I’ll take care of. It will be my DD. Prob offroad some here and there. I just think they are awesome vehicles and I really love driving it

Mine has a CEL for throttle posit ion and evap. Changing the gas cap and cleaning the TVS this weekend. Hate the CEL...

Just recently got my XJ. Not sure what took me so long but I really love working on it and making it my own. It’s like a little mule it does everything I ask and only complains once in a while with something I have to fix. I love it. Might buy another. Save the XJ’s!

Not sure what took me so long, but I recently realized the XJ is one of the greatest vehicles ever made. Finally found the one I wanted and I can’t stop thinking about what I’m doing with it next. I’ve only had it a few months but I love my XJ like no other vehicle I’ve owned. Get one. For the money it can’t be beat.

........and where might this be?

No. I just bought a 2001. I love it

I knew someone would pick up on this..........

I once, no shit, spent a good 20 minutes or more trying to figure out why the hell my wife’s Saturn wouldn’t start. I couldn’t for the life of me figure it out..........until I realized she parked the damn thing IN DRIVE! WTF. I was checking the battery, hitting the starter solenoid, all the usual tricks. Then looked

Holy shit. Man, that sucks.

My XJ is doing the same thing. Interestingly once it warms up a little it goes away. Shifts fine, so I have no idea. I’m thinking it may be needle bearings in my rear driveshaft. I need to get under there and take a closer look at the U-joints. I don’t think its a transmission issue.

Been there. Done that. Have the t-shirt- sucks.

Wranglers are cool. I mean, Barbie has one........
