The Rubicon JKU with the Alpine upgrade and a body color hard top was mid 40's or higher. Just way too much for a Jeep.

I have 5100 in it so far. 2001, 147k, limited. Brand new rebuild engine. 2"lift. I’m going to replace the lit with 4.5" and put 33s on. Eventually I’ll replace the rear axle with a Dana 44 or ford 8.8. Add bumpers and at most I’ll have 8500 in it. And it will go anywhere and run for a long time..
Kids. 4 door. Anywhere from 42-48k locally for the one with the options I want.
Nah. I’ll buy the Rubicon. No Jeep of mine will be a poser. If I buy a sport I’ll end up putting locked Dana 44 and 30 in it anyway. Might as well buy it that way.
Wife wants a JK Rubicon. They are cool but 48k to have a Jeep to drive the kids to school in? She doesn’t understand it rides like a Jeep. Isn’t real easy to get in and out of. Eats gas. And really aren’t that reliable. I like them but man 50k?
I contend that the XJ is the greatest utility vehicle ever made. Legendary off road ability, upgrade ability and indestructible attitude combined with practicality justifies it’s long production run and huge numbers built. Never really realized it until now. Wife wanted a JK and I lost a lot of sleep thinking about…
I’m 6'1" 210 and I don’t really even fit into my XJ. I don’t care, its bad ass.
I had an 86 Ford Tempo once. That was interesting. After about a year the repair costs nearly doubled up the price I paid for the car. It was in the shop so much I bought another car to use while it was in there. 87 Grand Am Se. Cool car, but it basically alternated shop visits with the Tempo.
I need to learn from you. Just picked up my first XJ, a 2001. Can’t wait to get it turned into what I want.
Hey I have a great idea! Lets turn our major food crop into fuel! And since it will cost more than normal fuel sources, we will use subsidies to make it competitive. Then, when food prices go up due to lack of feed we will print money to compensate and blame rising oil prices on the cost of food increases, which makes…
Did the Russians just seriously expose themselves? Or are they just playing a feint? I’m sure they remember Afghanistan. If their aircraft and tactics aren’t advanced enough to deal with this threat, and they just showed the world that then this may be a major blunder by them.
Awesome. LEAP is my program. Building the 1A now, 1B soon. Cool engine for sure lots of high tech. The new 9X is even more advanced. Testing our first 9X within the next few weeks.
Shit that’s what I meant to say. Fail
I report to Cincy. Work at an assembly shop
And because GE is better.
Let’s just say I have insider info. Hint- I make engines for a living and Boeing is my biggest customer.
Boeing is working on a 757max type aircraft. Airlines are asking for it-
An F-18 with 2 F414's isn’t quite the same as 2 B-1's each with 4 F101's in burner.
