KC-10 is a great jet, but she doesn't play well with my beloved C-5. T-Tail and #3 engine aren't friends.

The AIM-7 vs AMRAM is interesting for sure, but being a former AMC Crew Chief the more interesting part to me is if there in fact really is a tanker operating OVER Syria. Typically these would be in more friendly skies I would think........out in the Med, over Iraq or Jordan, etc. Not directly over Syria.
So what the kills per sortie shows is that the Marines can't hit their targets with the AV-8.
Its all about corrosion prevention. The Government spends 260 mil plus on an aircraft and then countless millions maintaining it so they want it to last as long as possible. Dirt/grime can attract and hold moisture which then promotes corrosion in areas that are not exposed to air readily. The components are all…
Technically if they made an Odyssey in AWD maybe. Sienna, yes its AWD.
I know.........but all could be done for about the same price as the costly LCS that I was referring to. I know its a WAG but retrofitting an older ship(s) couldn't cost more than the LCS program. And what would the enemy respond to more? An LCS offshore or the Missouri?
I love battleships. I spent about 3 hours on the New Jersey a few years back and it was awesome. Damn shame we don't retrofit them with an Aegis system and modernize them more. Fuck the LCS lets bring the BB back
I can't believe you still have 46 months and 41k miles left. How far did the warranty go out again (mileage wise)?
Yes now, but when the A model came out the aircraft was equipped with crosswind landing capability. The gear have actuators at the top side of the struts that powered the gear left and right. All 4. Climb up and take a look sometime. The system was deactivated and I am not sure if it was ever installed on the B…
The aircraft was designed with crosswind landing capability. The gear are still plumbed to do it, but it was found during flight testing that crosswind landing the gear wasn't required.
Actually the Tomcat would shoot it down from over 100 miles away and then head back to the ship.
thanks for your service
has to be the green Honda del Sol.
I love the room in my Passat. It is gigantic inside and still drives like a midsize car.
I dont care what anyone says I like my '13 Passat, even with the 2.5. Its a solid car and drives great.
OMG all that coal! We must stop it.
I love those Maximas
and then the F18 after it.
technically we weren't at war yet when Lusitania was sunk. FYI
I can attest that I've washed a C-5 numerous times. It's a bitch. But not nearly as big of a bitch as lubing up all the grease fittings afterwards. Seriously like 500 of them on it. Basically get covered from head to toe in grease.
